friday nite
TGIF!
my fav day of the week.
met my mum for dinner at zion road after work.
my madam has craving for char kway teow....migod. so sinful....
anyway, she got wat she wanted after a 7mins queue.
and i queued for carrot cake...
the one that is managed by the man who is almost deaf.
very friendly and hardworking boss.
i pointed to the white carrot cake,
voila!
nice.
we share a bowl of pork porridge. yummy....
i had tiny little portion of everything....now i can hear my stomach rumbling..
it was yet another quality nite spent with my mum only.
it was fantabulous.
we talked, we eat, we drink, we shop
just the kind of stuff i like to do with her on fridays.
nice.
we cross over to great world city and as usual, i went to That CD Shop.
i was surprise!
they are selling CDs made from China!
omigod.
and i tot they were rather high class...
well, i dun mean those CDs are low class.
but, those are like pirated CDs to me...
we brought back like 50pc of DVD and CD from china earlier this year.
and we were told that they are pirated ones.
but! the packaging gotto be real! haha,
it looked exactly like the imported ones on HMV's shelves.
but... they come with chinese characters.
anyway, i bought a michael buble album.
at least different from the one i bought earlier.
$9.90.
if only i got this from china,
it would have only cost $4
while paying, i asked the cashier
" are these from china?"
"yes"
"arent they pirated??"
"oh, nope, of cos not...."
"erm, they were jus made in china?"
"yah, they are made in china, but they are not pirated."
"but, i tot these cds are not suppose to be sold outside china? not even HK and Macau.."
"oh, we bought all the CDs, so it is legal."
erm....pardon me, but i dun understand the last reply.
they bought the CDs, so it is legal to sell???
im puzzled. the CD was printed with,
"Not for sold outside China. Not even in Macau and Hongkog."
am i reading english? or the cashier is speaking tamil???
