Pregnant at Eight Months

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Finally, after months of procrastinating, we decided to take the photos. Have been talking abt it day and night, but didnt put it into action. =p

I prefer the indoor shots, so we took the pics at the comfort of our home. bbTara will be able to see daddy and mommy's condition when she is still in mommy's tummy.... =)

From wedding picture, to pregnancy pictures.... next time we'll bundle bbTara into the shots. haha....

We enjoyed the self-taken shots, we'll be doing more soon !!

Monday, September 29, 2008

He seldom cook in our kitchen (for all i rem, only once - maggie mee). Though he used to make his own meals in UK in those days, but not anymore.
That nite, before we fell asleep, he told me, 'tml i make breakfast for u'....
haha....I was over the moon!
finally, i got to eat something real from him! =)
As promised, he woke up early and started the preparation. He was going to make french toast (his dad's way). yum yum...

so, he mixed magarine with egg for the batter. And I added on tomatos. heh heh...

And I must say his skills are pretty good!!! not chao tar at all!! =)

Along with my fresh milk, this was my heartiest breakfast.... =)

MOF

It was an adhoc dinner at Bugis MOF on a Wednesday nite.
Finally brought livingstone to MOF.

Had the charsiew ramen (both spicy and original), which both of us think was good!

and i-forgot-what-sushi-we-ordered. but it was thumbs up!

we were seated at the last table in the restaurant, out of the way of the crowded restaurant. however, the staff were still pretty attentive to us.

Bbtara and mommy had a satisfied weekday dinner!! =)

DIY breakfast

Friday, September 26, 2008

Ever since I am pregnant with bbTara, breakfast has always been important to me.
Not that I used to skip breakfast, but it wasn't as crucial. I guess it is so now, becos I have to eat my vitamins and supplements on time now....
That Sunday, livingstone was sooooooooooo sweet! He woke up early with me (not his usual sunday routine) and offered to go ntuc with me to buy the stuff for our DIY breakfast.... heh heh...

so, we had french toast, sausage and baked beans....

And ..... DIY strawberry milk. =)

we didnt add any sugar, so it actually tasted quite raw (for livingstone).
So, I added some honey for him. =)

And....we have a visitor while we were having our brekkie... haha....

bbIssac!! He is our cute neighbour. ya, just next door. Our door is always open for him. =)

Soup Restaurant at T2

Thursday, September 25, 2008

That Saturday, we went to Terminal 3 for a shopping trip. The place is big enuf for ryan boy to begin his run. I kid u not, he started running in that big space, the moment we entered the air-conditioned area from the car park. NON-STOP.
He ran and came back, ran and came back.....kindof reminds me of Forrest Gump. haha...

Had dinner at Soup Restaurant. Beat the dinner crowd, so we were there at slightly before 6pm.

As usual, ryan always brings with him a toy. He is holding the 'dice' which can be transformed from motorbike to dinosaur.

The signature dish, sansui chicken.

soup of the day - lotus root with pork ribs.

we ordered the set dinner. so it came with sliced fish fried with spring onions, and steamed pork in i-forgot-what-sauce. Yummy.

this is good. the gravy tasted like chili crab though it is prawns, and for ryan's sake, we asked the kitchen to cook it chili-less. =)

brocolli with scallop and mushroom.

Total damage $118. DBS card gets another $5 voucher for the next visit.

We proceeded to Playground @ Big Splash, but guess it was the worse choice ever, bcos there were so many cars waiting for parking lots! We left and went to tiong bahru plaza instead.
Ever since the extension of the mall at the basement, we have not been there.
Tried the dessert stall...I had the black sesame....

and livingstone had the mango shaved ice.

So-so only.....

this is a slight movement....take note of the place near the stylus.

Now,....i hv got proof that bbtara is violent.... heh heh...

Dinner @ Salt Water Cafe

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Boss decided to give us a treat, so we opted for UOB's one-for-one dining priviledge!
International Buffet Dinner at Salt Water Cafe (Changi Village hotel).
6 persons go, pay 3 persons bill only.... :)

there was the bbq section by the pool side too....my bbq cod fish with cherry tomatoes.... yummy!

and I cannot miss the bread and toast section.....ok, i noe i noe...it's not breakfast....

but somehow, livingstone and I lurvvvvvvve toast with butter....ANYTIME!
and furthermore there is tomato soup to dip my roti in, why not la.... =)

My DIY laksa....

My DIY rojak....

the spread was good for me, there was the english, chinese, japanese and indian menu for selection...and many kinds of mussels to select from.

and the best part is, this hotel is out of town (ya, and very ulu), there wasn't the usual dinner crowd, dinner ends at abt 10.30pm, the service staff do not come and tell us to quickly go for our last round. So, we took our time to savour the food. =)
total damage was $140 for a table of six. Wonderful!!!

Hse warming cum Mooncake Party @ Jln Membina

It was english calendar ~ 14th September 2008 and lunar calendar's 15th August 2008.
We gathered at SX & HL's new hse for a hse warming cum mooncake party!
how happening! =)

We were the early birds, and caught the host preparing extra dishes for us!

It was meant to be a potluck, but the host decided to cater food for all of us instead! So, thanks host!!

The early birds taking the first grp shot!

Me and my preg khaki! =)

All of us though no need to bring dishes, but we were tasked to bring mooncakes instead. And, we asked for special ones!

So, there were a variety of mooncakes on the table for the nite, from snowskin durian mooncakes (four seasons cafe), home made agar agar mooncakes (felin), snowskin champagne truffle (raffles hotel), lychee martini (ritz carlton) to snowskin green tea and even Genting baked skin mooncakes....and etc....it was a yum yum galore of mooncakes !!

And how can we go without lanterns!? Ah siang contributed the lanterns, and the rest contributed ideas on how to hang them...bravo! nicely done!

there we were using the lanterns as backdrop for phototaking, and we were showing the 'TT' sign...that stands for 'Tara Tan' .... heh heh

Before we call it a day, we had to take a picture with the hse warming present we gave to the host ~ kdk standing fan with remote control.

i enjoyed my 15th august two oh oh eight.... =)

Hort Park

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

We only had a short day with them that saturday.
Wif working in the morning, then, got to rush to the hospital for antenatal class, at nite, we promised daniel that we'll be there for judy's cut cake session.

Bringing them out is a challenge for me every weekend. Need fresh and new places, wea we can explore together, wea ryan boy will not find boring, then need to find a place that will satisfy my mom's taste bud.....tsk tsk tsk....tough job....

that day, since we won't be hanging out late, we decided to bring them to hort park.
the hottest park in town now... heh heh

Coincidentally, unker and nephew wearing the same pattern of polo tee that day!!

that makes them '3-8' hahaha....
so cute! (how identical, with specs somemore....)

so long never take picture with ryan boy, that's how he will pose recently.

Everytime ryan boy goes to the playground, his 'guardian angel' will be there beside him...
thanks to him....

Ryan's guardian angel waiting for him on top, while he backed out and refuse to climbed further up. He told livingstone 'we imagine up there got bees ok? we dun go up'

diaoz.....

nice chill out place in the park.

ryan boy hid behind the pillar, wanting to scare my sister as she walked past....haha...

Brought them to botak jones at Depot Road. Ryan kept chanting for fish and chips.

See how happy he was as he enjoyed his dinner, and his activity book.

I ordered the cajun chicken burger. I think i am wasting my calories. Although this is not my first time attempting on Botak jones menu, I think I mentioned before, the meal is not worth wasting my calories on. The only good thing i rem abt the dish, is the chicken was cooked jus nice, not tough. the gravy wasn't fantasting, the bread wasn't toasted, the coleslaw is dry and tasted like there's no dressing. I will spare the fries.

The first time I had botak jones was in AMK, that stall tasted better.

So, at 7pm, we rushed to collect the birthday cake from awfullychocolate.
We ordered the 6" Chocolate Banana cake thru phone, and picked it up at Cluny road branch.

Off to Judy's hse for the surprise session. =)
