a Sumptuos tonic soup made for me at homeFriday, June 30, 2006It smelled so nice. i thought mom would had added some seasoning. but she didnt. U see, she volunteered to prepare this tonic formula which i got from terence. and she agreed to drink with me. well, the challenge is, both of us never like herbal stuff. hee hee.... but for the sake of an improved and better health, we are ready to go for it!!  Apparently, this formula is for improving our 'Qi' abit bitter. but still can take it. Livingstone had a minor sugery....yah, a minor surgery. think it is called the 'gum-plus'. he has to live with soft diet for a while. so i took a days leave and took care of him after the op. poor thing, his gum bleed so much..... Sunday (Akan Datang)as i was saying.... there was a series of events. After our parents meeting on Saturday, there was our fren, Kenny & Peggy's wedding, on Sunday. Early in the morning, I dropped Livingstone @ Peggy's place, (he was appointed as the main photographer for the impt day) and i was on my way to pick my mom for breakfast at Red Star.....  i glanced at my watch. it was 9am. THIS PLACE IS BLOODY FULL!!!! *faint* these pple donch sleep! arghhhhhhh......take a peep.  aniwae, it was like close to a yr since i last had dim sum here. Mom remembered that she liked the porridge here.  having said that.....i was disappointed with the food that morning. the standard dropped. Not so obvious for those fried items though.. but the steam items rather. too thick the skin. a bit rough on the inside. my mom shared the same sentiments.    I almost couldn't swallow these. I brought Mom to Changi Chapel.  the only outdoor church in singapore. i like this place very much. it is a kind of unique feeling i will have when i come here.  the beautiful entrance. We picked up Livingstone from peggy's place agn in the noon after shopping around in Bedok with Mom. I am very sensitive to my mom's needs. I can tell she's hungry (though she did not mention).....heh heh....so we brought her to her fav roast duck stall at kellock road.  yum yum..... then I had to rush back to prepare for the banquet at nite. We created a substantial amount of noise in the banquet that nite. Ever since christine's wedding like some 5 yrs ago, we havent been in this form. haha....  Budd and me. Our fav shot for the nite.  Kenny was completely knock out that nite. The guys had to carry him into the car. poor thing.... a pity he couldn't end the nite reminiscing with peggy what they had enjoyed during the event that day...... i hope it doesn't happen to us..... i guess i need to make a appeal now...... hee hee pity...... M.I.A for a while....i've been away for a while.... away for the weekends, and many events happened on the weekends, well...at least enuff of stuff that happened for the short saturday and sunday....that left me with no space to blog at all.... then come Monday, livingstone had a minor surgery on his gums, and i took tuesday off to nurse him too..... heh heh..... as i was saying.....many events huh?..... let's start with last friday, shall we? Friday Terence bought us some really nice kways from alexandra... there is mango, yam, coffee, green tea, salted....durian....wow....  then.... Budd and i met up for a look-see-shopping-trip to bugis. well, u see, we decided that we shld stop ourselves from spending on clothes for a while. so, we agreed to go look at the market, but no transaction will involve. haha.... and it worked! we see, we look, we shop, but NO transactions. bravo!!! we concluded the nite with supper and dessert at peck seah st...  that's my black and white.... black sesame and almond....  mango ice for budd...  yam cake... Now....there's this cafe that i passed by.....that....sort of returned me some sweet and fond memories....  then.....comes, Saturday it's meeting up with our appointed 'ID' for our love hut. seeing our 3d perspective drawings....wow....nice. hmmm.....it's an exciting nite. we arranged for our parents to meet up tonite. well....of cos, to discuss abt our big day. like, how to give me away, what to exchange for me, blar blar blar..... it's a transaction. here's the attendance that represented my family.  now, look closely at the pictures, there were no pre-discussions with what we are gonna wear, but it happens that most of us turns up with similar colors of clothings.... especially my mom, ryan boy and me.....LOL.... here's the menu.... very very nice soup...  roast pig....  yummy yam with scallop and vege....  there's a hidden scallop in the yam!!  i skipped this though...hee hee.... this is goose leg and sea cucumber....  steam fish...  chicken with vege and ham/bacon....  noodles....  yummy yam paste!! with ginko and pumpkin.....  all the above....proudly served by:  Furama Palace Restaurant. Cantonese cusine. wanted to take a group foto.... but ryan boy suggested covering our face..... but he gave an additional victory sign..... and i think he peeped.  my dad made these rabbits....with mini towels... i call them the kissing rabbits.  livingstone and ryan boy....  the overall dinner was yummy, thanks to livingstone's family who played host and gave us the treat. wasn't really that nervous, bcos after all, the parents have met before this session. but of cos the formality does create a bit of tension initially though. hmm, luckily the youngsters were there to break the ice..... the rest flowed naturally. phew..... ryan contributed to the noise too....haha.... Sunday akan datang.... a meetup with adohfinally lor. adoh has time for me. the last time i met her.......september 2005 lo...... it was dinner at mos burger, and shopping for that pink dress ...hee.....  this tiramisu at spinelli......*shake head* yucks.....  the adoh that i havent met for donkey mths....... permed her hair. beautiful. i only slept for 2 hrs...Monday, June 19, 2006it was only 2hrs of sleep, before we woke up at 5am, got ourselves prepared, and on our way to Kulai, Malaysia. tired ney....  it was livingstone's cousin's wedding.... we reach the place at abt 8am finally....  there are 5 hrs away to the wedding lunch, we have to get to somewhere to kill time!  the moutains behind the temple...  i think this is a culture in malaysia. here goes, use the holy water, go into one of the holes here and wash car plates, aching arms, aching feet, etc, whatever u wan to have luck or recovery on....  bao kai wor.... try ur luck then....  it was secret receipe for brunch. my yummy beef noodles.  livingstone's singaopore laksa. hao chi.  it was a hot day... and we passed by this dessert bar.... interesting indeed.  my chendol....yumyum... forgive me, it was really yum yum under the hot sun!!  proceeding to the wedding lunch. malaysia culture i guess, this restaurant has karaoke session for the guests, now, whoever wants to sing, to bless the couples, go ahead, write ur dedication, and sing them a song. very popular wor.. maybe the next malaysia idol will come from this lunch. hur hur hur....  at Sunday 6pm, tuas second link, also jammed. that's livingstone then entertaining himself during the jam. haunting haunting....it is a photogrphy session, so we decided to head to changi to catch the sunset.... livingstone brought me to these sites for a look.  the changi hospital....deserted.... so many windows....what if someone suddenly peeps out and wave at us!????  the deserted entrance, eerie... looking thru the entrance gives me a creepy feeling...  the white house.... also deserted kind...but got trace of overstayers.... got pple hang towels to dry...  year 1938...  at the changi boardwalk.... men got fish, everybody see....  a beautiful sunset.... |
