munch munch

ever since i made 'awful pizzas' for them, I have been remaking it to make sure I don fail again.
that nite, we had pizza for dinner. Jus the two of us. =)

breakfast was pretty healthy, with ham and cheese toast, low fat milk and POST Blueberry cereal. Yes, it is not new, I have been testing out new cereals ever since I tried Mark's and Spencers awesome strawberry and almond crunch. Nah, of the many POST range that I have tried, I still prefer M&S's.

I guess bbTara has strong legs, she is standing pretty steady....of cos with assistance that is. =)

mom had to leave early on the Sat for another appt, so my sister and us decided to go ASTON's! Tucked away in a coffeeshop along Balestier Road, it wasn't very crowded. Bravo! I had newyork strip in medium rare (but think the chef gave me medium done instead), nevertheless, I still enjoyed the dinner.yum!

Dennis who jus came back from Germany, came to join us! Jess - always my babysitter! haha

After dinner, we proceeded to AMK MacDonald for a drink and cheesecake.

It was 1.30am when we left the place. bbTara was sleeping on my chest half the time while we were chatting. Thank God she could cope under that environment!

Simon organised a potluck in his place that sunday. I made chocolate cheesecake, Joanne made bee hoon, while the host provided sandwich, and Tarius bought roasted duck from dian xiao er. Yum!
And of cos, the main discussion was on babies....

bbAndre, son of Lawrence and Joanne - 9mths.

bbGivan, son of Simon and Ah May - same age mth as bbTara, just a few days difference

gosh!....in front of the parents...

then, bbtara realise our presence....

and they repel....

so, someone place a third party in between...and bbtara gave us the innocent look 'it wasn't me...'

Many many folks say, 'dun take picture of anyone sleeping'....and the reason was, 'the soul will not get back in' .....Well....to each its own. =)

We pretty much enjoy snapping her while she's asleep, for the many different patterns she has.
like the sweet, the untidy, the satisfied and the lazy poses..

and, when she's awake....she brights up both our mornings!

Damage Control Day

The truth is I offended my mom, and so I labelled a Damage Control Day on my calendar, asked her out for lunch, and spent some quality time with her out in town.
Lunch was supposed to be at YUM CHA, but it was drizzling when I reached ChinatownMRT station, and with bbTara in tow, and without a rain cover for the stroller, it was impossible.
So I suggested taking the train to Raffles City instead.
And we promptly decided on Ding Tai Feng. It was donkey years back since I last dine in this restaurant. And it was becos I didnt find the food fantastic at all, despite the queues we see everytime we passed by the Tampines Mall branch.

we ordered the xiao long bao, and one of it came 'punctured', the server confessed to us, and made up for another one...

besides this, we had the steam shrimp dumpling, hot and sour soup and yam bao.
my comments are still the same. Only the xiao long bao is eat-able.

When we fill up our tummy, it was bbTara's turn. As usual, I brought her to the baby room on the 4th level, where she can quietly enjoy her milk.
After which, I decided to choose a set of cutlery for her as we shld be able to start her on semi solid food next mth!

I just picked up all the spoons and bowls I saw, and placed them all in front of her!
Now, she has the liberty to choose her own. =)

she usually falls asleep when we were shopping.....awesome!

and this was what she chosed. =)

After raffles city, we walked to suntec city for carrefour and dinner. And as livingstone had to work late that nite, I had to make my way home on my own.
I must say I am so uber delighted that bbTara never gave me any trouble during our ride in the train, or while we were shopping and eating.
She's such a lovely girl! I have no worries pushing her around, and hanging all my shopping bags on her powerful stroller!

terrible lightings...tsk tsk tsk...the picture got so dark that I had to extra extra brighten it, and it got soooo grainy. Problem with a mobile phone camera.....
Anyway, it was an ad-hoc house visit (again) to adoh's hse.

M1-sians Gathering!

we planned a few times after i delivered bbTara.
It was either not available, or feeling unwell. haha...
so, that nite, we FINALLY get to meet up at our place. =)
I prepared pizzas, one hawaiian and one bbq chicken, but! How could I spread so little bbq sauce!??? I say my bbq pizza is an utter failure, and it was tasteless!
How embarrassing....my apologies dear M1-sians! next time, i'll make up with something else. I promise.

we had salad as side, romaine lettuce with cherry tomatoes and ham, and with home made dressing that i really like.

beverage was red wine and for me, the non-alcoholic, Root Beer Float. =)

here are the ladies who was pretty obsessed witb bbTara.
and thank God, bbTara was comfortable with them!

now, who's who?

heh heh....

So appreciate that they agreed to do the getherng at my place, instead of town,
I could rest bbTara well, and so there was no disruption to her bedtime,
after which, I can return to the dinner table to continue our chit chat session. And livingstone was there to help!
Can u imagine, we indeed chatted like no tml, until ms chay said she had to leave for her sister's place, who were waiting to open the door for her. The clock read 11.30pm then.

To pamper my guest, I made my virgin chocolate cheesecake (use to make too many oreo cheesecake la).

I heart the quality gathering that nite, and thanks so much for the lovely gift for bbTara, she is playing the tunes over and over again every day now! =)
