The Chua(s) in the house ...Monday, June 01, 2009Met up with our dear neighbours for dinner that friday, oh, did I say friday? haha.... it means? PIZZA DAY! muahahahahha... Indeed, we really had pizza (AGAIN!), and mrs chua prepared fruit salad too! yummily sweet!  mr chua flashing his iPhone lo....buay ta han....HAHA... Labels: bbtara, Dinner, neighbours, pizza Pizza Gathering again...Sunday, May 31, 2009Trust me, I have been having pizza every friday ever since I made awful pizzas for them. =) Now, I am making it up for them that nite. This time, I am not allowing any mistakes. I hope I made it up frens! =p  upon jody's request, this was an attempt for bbq potato pizza, instead of chicken, we added pork! not bad, except that the potato wasn't crunchy, guess we need to fry them prior to baking them in the oven....besides this, we also made hawaiian (not in the picture).  sheryl made this, yummy!! thanks to her simple recipe, now my lunch is getting more interesting...  miss chay, who bought brownie for us (not in the picture)....  and while we were having dinner, bbtara was also enjoying her bottle of milk...  and miss tan, who generously allow bbtara the liberty to play with her watch....haiyo.... we eat, play and chat...and I suppose they were very entertained by bbTara, which im glad. at least my bb is not a nusiance....lol the nite ended somewea close to 2am! not that bad! we still got some stamina huh!! haha... What a quality day!! even though it was only for a short 4hrs, but who cares, quality wins quantity, ya? And I volunteer to make pizza (haha, again???), aiya, same person doing, different pple consuming what....besides it helped to polish my skilld further.... heh heh...   bbtara is sitting in gor gor edgar's walker...n looks like edgar is all eager to show his lil cousin how to operate his automobile!  and we see that he is so ready to share his toys...thumbs up for edgar! whenever he see bbtara, he will shout 'MEI MEI!'  take one!  after 2hrs, she's tired, and wants to sleep....  n so, she took a power nap on my chest....like a koala.  edgar mimic a bowler in action, n the parents created a makeshift bowling lane for their son...heh heh  she's all ready to play agn after the power nap!  edgar trying to put a sticker on bbtara's head... HAHA  happy tara, bz edgar...  wea's gor gor!???  while we were taking group fotos...the little nephew of mine started to act like a leader, pushing both livingstone and my shoulder towards each other (as if saying 'stand closer'), and he stood in btw us to take the picture! haha...how amazing, he couldn't express himself with proper language yet, but he showed how promising he can be as a lil adult haha...   our dearest!   Happy siblings day! the dafternoon she came....Sunday, May 03, 2009that afternoon, two stay at hme women meetup for home made pizza lunch (again???!!!). n wif the extremely hot weather, we topped our menu with cold cold icy kopitiam dessert! yum! let me see....hmmm...two of us talked n talked for....like....almost 5 hrs!! how remarkable! muahahahaha in actual fact, there shld be a total headcount of four tt day, inclusive of bbpj(in the tummy) n bbtara!  we bang! we bang! woooobaby..... It was either not available, or feeling unwell. haha... so, that nite, we FINALLY get to meet up at our place. =) I prepared pizzas, one hawaiian and one bbq chicken, but! How could I spread so little bbq sauce!??? I say my bbq pizza is an utter failure, and it was tasteless! How embarrassing....my apologies dear M1-sians! next time, i'll make up with something else. I promise.  we had salad as side, romaine lettuce with cherry tomatoes and ham, and with home made dressing that i really like.  beverage was red wine and for me, the non-alcoholic, Root Beer Float. =)  here are the ladies who was pretty obsessed witb bbTara. and thank God, bbTara was comfortable with them!   now, who's who?  heh heh....  So appreciate that they agreed to do the getherng at my place, instead of town, I could rest bbTara well, and so there was no disruption to her bedtime, after which, I can return to the dinner table to continue our chit chat session. And livingstone was there to help! Can u imagine, we indeed chatted like no tml, until ms chay said she had to leave for her sister's place, who were waiting to open the door for her. The clock read 11.30pm then.  To pamper my guest, I made my virgin chocolate cheesecake (use to make too many oreo cheesecake la). Chilling out at home is much better then doing it outside for me now....imagine i cannot take many cold drinks now. My choices are limited. I probably have to sit up straight out at the restaurants, and I can't lounge comfortably, or lift my feet when i see water retention building up.... haha... Lucky she doesn't mind coming to my place becos of distance.... =) With that, I whipped up a dinner for her. And it is the first time in my 2 years since I DEEP-FRIED something in CORIS! haha... And my first attempt is Pork Cutlet coated with breadcrumbs. And i liked that! =)  greens.....  pizza......  and mushroom spag.....  dessert was fruit tarts!  Im glad she liked them.... =)  More cam-whoring!!!  One-to-five.... haha...  Thanks for the company budd.... =) I was indeed tired after the preparation, but I enjoyed it. In fact, this is the first time I am trying this mini pizza pancake from the coffeeshop...  turned out to be super nice!!! i chose the cheese+mushroom+hotdog. yummy! - $2 Blk 442, Pasir Ris Dr 6, 24 Hrs Coffeeshop. You shld try it too! Al Forno East CoastWednesday, June 11, 2008A few weeks ago, I read from a forum, that Al Forno will be moving soon (bcos they have to make way for private development). Anyway, it became a trigger point that we should revisit this restaurant again, before its gone (that is if the rumour is true...) This is one pizza that I really liked ever since I had it in Italy,Venice. Since then, everytime I go for pizza, I order the Calzone. :) Will try and make my own at home soon....  that's the rich filling inside. $23.  honestly it isn't as nice as what I reminisce, so it was just ok. Livingstone had cravings for tortellini. Not many restaurants served good ones in Singapore, so we are still searching for the perfect dish. This is not to our likings too. We tasted better ones in foreign countries. This dish is $22.  The plus point of this dinner is really the decor and ambience. I liked the ceiling. It transports me back to europe instantly... :) Not flushed, no false ceilings, just curved like originals.....   Well, so much for an italian dinner at Al Forno, the service is good and prompt, but the food didnt impress us this time. Rojak Gathering @ CorisTuesday, June 03, 2008It was a simple gathering @Coris for these few friends. I decided to make pizza for them. Woke up early to prepare the pizza dough. But guess what, my dough didnt rise after 1 hr!! OMG! then i realise my yeast could be too old.  Lucky I still have time to redo the dough.  application of the pizza sauce....  the ingredients....  here comes jessie, who helped with another dough....  then she creatively created the shape of UFO! haha...  with her applying the bbq sauce and the ingredients....  kumar and jessie fighting for a drink????  Oh yes, I also prepared indian style butter chicken for kumar. It came from a ready made bottle, anyway, it wasn't very nice IMO.  UFO pizza hot from the oven..  kumar's right hand with the butter chicken and rice....  The group.  and for dessert?? Fondue!  =) |
