My parent in laws are out of town, so during that weekend, we organised a siblings day at my BIL's place.
What a quality day!! even though it was only for a short 4hrs, but who cares, quality wins quantity, ya?
And I volunteer to make pizza (haha, again???), aiya, same person doing, different pple consuming what....besides it helped to polish my skilld further.... heh heh...
bbtara is sitting in gor gor edgar's walker...n looks like edgar is all eager to show his lil cousin how to operate his automobile!
and we see that he is so ready to share his toys...thumbs up for edgar!
whenever he see bbtara, he will shout 'MEI MEI!'

after 2hrs, she's tired, and wants to sleep....
n so, she took a power nap on my chest....like a koala.
edgar mimic a bowler in action, n the parents created a makeshift bowling lane for their son...heh heh
she's all ready to play agn after the power nap!

while we were taking group fotos...the little nephew of mine started to act like a leader, pushing both livingstone and my shoulder towards each other (as if saying 'stand closer'), and he stood in btw us to take the picture! haha...how amazing, he couldn't express himself with proper language yet, but he showed how promising he can be as a lil adult haha...

This October's potluck was kindly hosted by Kenny and Peggy (Thanks for opening up the hse for us!!)
We didnt have a table of food, but they were jus enuf for the ten stomachs.
Dennis prepared char-bee-hoon...
SX and HL prepared curry vege.....
I prepared the pork cutlet with breadcrumbs....
the host ordered the satays!
Felin brought mini dumplings from kim choo....
I forgot to take felin's dessert, purple agar agar, my fav! Find it on livingstone's plate! haha...
Then, out of nowhere, livingstone took out a giftbox, and presented to peggy....All pink....haha...(Veron, we are helping u with the misson wor!)
Ah siang was trying to shake it and listen to see if it makes any noise.... heh heh...
Viola!!! its the receiving blanket that Veron knitted for bbJade!! It was placed with us since peggy didnt join us for the last dinner session at bottle tree village.... =)
Then, peggy took out a unique bib, that caused a commotion, becos this bib cosst $20++..... haha... no choice la, designer stuff....ah siang doing UAT.
As they stand togethre in the room, i realise they hv nice color tees....notice shrek in the house!

One fine day, Peggy told me, 'it's been a long time since we last had potluck....'
so i goes,.....'great idea, shall we???'
and so, with the invitations and conversations done over msn on a sunny afternoon, we decided to put it on the eve of vesak day (well, at least the next day is a holiday).
& since it is so near to Vesak Day, we decided that the theme would be 'Chinese Cusine'.
& yes, it doesn't matter if we have two pregnant ladies in the group now. We are still as energetic as before. thank god. =)
the early birds at coris (abt 10am):
with dennis (our jamie oliver) arriving next to prepare his dish. Here he is, trying to ask livingstone to be his assistance.
And so, a potluck is a gathering of people where each person is expected to bring a dish of food to be shared among the group isn't it. The menu was decided by each and every individual of us abt 2 wks before the event via email. Here we go:
And I forgot to snap the drinks that ah siang contributed!! haha...
and so, we have quite a spread on the T-shaped table for a total of 12+2 mouths....Felin and Desmond being vegan until Vesak Day have to refrain from touching the sinful food. I tried to make vege-bee-hoon for them, but I guess i failed, cos without being able to add the pig trotters, i dunno how else to fry and make it nice. haha...pai sey....
Before the lunch begins, most of them are bz helping out....
we do have some idle king here, they are actually quite good, cos some contributed eye power lo, haha....kidding la...
As we had to wait for dennis's chicken to be steamed, we then sat in groups to chit chat. It was cosy.

And we have gift from our frens who went overseas again.... heh heh
After lunch, it was chit chat, watch dvd, gossip, raking up the past, eat fruits, and finally leaving for dinner...
Nevermind if Livingstone and I had to clean up the hse after we call it a day. Im blessed that Livingstone is there to help me at this moment now when I can't squat and wipe the floor anymore. He mopped the floor, and it was sparkling clean! He washed and cleaned the pots and pans. What did I do? I forgot, haha....but hey, its a pregnant woman's priviledge now alrite! Not that I meant I will fully utilise it, but Livingstone knows how much I appreciate him, and he noes I still help out too.....hor? =)

That nite, we gathered at Lawrence and Joanne's place for a nice dinner specially prepared by the hosts.
Aren't we pampered!? They prepared salmon for us! Comes complete with bread, soup and chicken wings!Gosh....couldn't have been better....And they were laid nicely on the countertop waiting for us to collect them.
Simon and May made us salad. =) The healthier choice.

And i brought my humble mini fruit tarts....this receipe comes in handy for me so many times.... thanks ya felin!
And there were durian puffs from emicakes too!

There wasn't Wii or soccer channel to entertain us, just the few couples seated around the teak dinner table, chit chatting about everything, from their Uni days, to their family, to the current affairs and just about anything. That kept us going until close to 12mn....and amazingly, right after dinner, all our butts were not shifted at all, well, except for visiting the loo.And we are honoured that they had our wedding favours on their fridge even today.... thanks guys! Thanks for the wonderful nite. =)
