im good at that.
always kept him in the dark until the last min.
HAHA!

i pretended i had no time to shop for his present since i was flying around for the past 3 wks.
but i actually got his present ready before i flew to taipei.
la la la la~

u see, he has a bloody old and poor condition yellow chair in his office that badly needed a repair.
Anyway, i got for him jus what he needed, becos he has simply no time and too lazy to buy.
A stylish office chair. haha...with my heart of cos. =)

At night, he was lead by me to "The Line" at Shangri-La Hotel.
It was a concept place with 6 kitchens, and awesom taste!
i must say they have a good wide spread of
1) Local,
2) Chinese
3) Indian
4) Italian
5) Japanese
6) Salad Bar
8) Seafood-such as lobster, oysters, scallop, mussles....etc
9) and the best is....they have many many desserts served in mini cups and a chocolate fountain!

Of cos it is a high price to pay.
We paid $180 for these choices.

i love the tortellini carbonara and roti prata! haha...i so cheapskate.
ok la, the oysters were good too.

I bombed twice after the dinner. wahahaha...
nick and i were so bloody full after the session...that we had to drop by west coast for a stroll to digest our intake.

Share ur JOY!

Tuesday, July 26, 2005

i rx a msg yesterday:
"hey, i have given birth to a baby girl last nite...."

omigod! joyce skipped an important process!
she did not even tell us she was pregnant, and she has given birth!!!!
haha~
wow, 10mths....so fast.

CONGRATULATIONS my dear friend!
its another stage of ur life again after the rasa-sentosa celebration.
im sure u will enjoy the growing process, and the hassle and russle of this new member in ur family.

hmmm....
there are 2 things that will always bring joy and happiness to our closest.
Weddings + Babies

wat else huh?

i think....these are the 2 important processes in life that we wanna share with every living thing we noe on earth.
some did it in a quiet and low profile manner, while others wanna shout it loud and share the greatest news with us - friends, family.

i like the latter.
i like to share the joy of my friend, of my family. and i like to share them too.
it jus makes me feel important to them, that im invited to share their joy.

it's a joy!
share them!
pple get happi!
u see them happi, they see u happi!
that's jOY! isn't it?

i thank those pple that has invited me to share their news of joy....

大饼包小饼

im not going to mention anything abt work here. cos it was some terrible fire fighting job over there before i flew back. in short we lost sleep, lost appetite, lost time jus to deliver the project in time.

anyway. food and shopping was really great in taipei.
they have lots of yummy finger food in the nite market,
but the shopping is comparable to singapore in terms of pricing, however, they do have more variety. and more late nite shopping.
i remember shopping in shilin, until 1am, and im still in the fitting rm trying clothes. haha.
i simply love that bloody feeling.
1am!!! and those shops are still open for business! =)
singapore no fight for this!

Taipei - Day 2

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

18 July 2005, Monday

Taipei declare no work no school.

Because 海棠 台风 (Haitang Typhoon) is here.

We stayed in the hotel until abt 11am, we went out for brunch.
Strolling on the street with raindrops keep falling on my head, domp domp domp...
haha~
we had 2 miserable small umbrellas for 3 persons use.
Anyway, one was damaged by the strong wind.
Gone.

There were not much eatery that were open for business.
So this was wat we had:

interesting, this was how we are suppose to order,

- per order we use ' 一' to indicate
- if there are 5 order for the item, we use " 正 " to indicate

i hope u get wat i mean... heh heh

sweet and sour soup

fried drumstick yum yum

braised pork rice SUPER YUMMY!!

brrrrp!!

the shop

we went back to the hotel after brunch, as the wind was getting stronger and the rain was getting heavier.

it was so boring staying in the hotel for the next 5hrs.
we decided to take a walk!

despite the warning of staying indoor,
we went to sun-yat-sen memorial and the 101 tower.

101 tower.

along the way. we saw soooo many fallen trees, shattered glasses, signboard dangling in the air, the streets were dirty and there were sandbags all over the entrance of the carpark and shops, residents and store owners started pasting paper tape onto their glass windows...

it was a terrible scene. 101 plaza was closed.
nothing for dinner, so we headed to ximending.

roadside stall selling cuttlefish balls

cuttlefish balls YUM YUM NT10 only...

california fitness at ximen

it was still raining and the wind was still strong even at 12mn.....
