I know its the fourth day of 2008, most of the bloggers had wished everybody a Happy New Year. I am late.
Not that Im not excited abt it (well...sort of, will explain why later...), but I have quite a fair bit of backlogs and I refuse to just let it go. So, as I was diligently updating my blog, life still goes on, activities still happened, which is why I still have stuff to blog about. =)
Flipping thru my 2007 desktop calendar, I read the perfect ten:
1) birthday(s) celebrations ambush
2) new job
3) HK trip
4) cameron road trip
5) newborns
6) Mom's operation
7) aniversary stay
8) gatherings / pot lucks
9) BKK trip
10) Weddings
Gosh, as the earth rotates for the past 365days, those were what happened.....
I made a New Year resolution on 1.1.2007, in front of my frens while we were in Batam,
I rem I said that since we have not been celebrating each other's bithdays for a while, we shall do it again this year. And, I count my blessings that my frens were supportive to the idea, and we had birthdays ambush one after another, with ideas streaming in non-stop. Hurray guys! u rox! And therefore, to conclude my, or rather our 2007 new year resolution, which we had kept to, I made a video to rem them:
And, as I mentioned earlier, I was not very excited abt the new year eve or the new year's day (except for the celebrations), becos, I come to realise that it no longer has an impact on me. Not like in my younger days, while im still in sch, I look forward to a new year, bcos, the new year meant a new class, new set of textbooks, new uniform, new shoes, new frens, new Everything!
Nah, not anymore.
today, its just another page on my desktop calendar.
don't get me wrong, Its not sad. Its a growing stage. =)
And for the new year's eve, we decided to head home before 12mn, to spy on the CBD's fireworks from our house.
To our surprise, we saw double set of fireworks, neighbour told us that they are from marina bay and mt faber....spot the red spot on the fotos, we see them clearer live.
well....whereever they are, im glad that we can catch it from our TV, and live from our windows.
Now, Happy 2008 & May all your wishes come true this year, let's all be healthy!
Yours Truly
