First Day : Warsaw

Finally, it took us abt 19 hours to travel to this part of the world....
As we passed thru the immigration, happily approaching the belt to claim our luggage,

it was not until after a while, that we realise, we were the last person there, still standing and waiting for livingstone's backpack.
U got it right, the bag is lost in transit. arghhhhhh.....
blessing? nah.... the polish counter staff said 'its very common, bcos heathrow airport its too big....'
well, that theorectically doesn't give them the excuse to make mistakes.
Anyway, gave them our details in Warsaw, and we made our way to the old town to check in to our apartment.

our own kitchenette. Cosy!

Warsaw street.

The streets are rather quiet. Maybe our heart were quiet too, cos our backpack is lonely. hee...

My toiletries and electronics are all in there....
fortuately, the apartment provided us with the shampoo and stuff....

Dinner at a polish restaurant.

the traditional dish.

we have a variety, from mushroom with cheese, to meat and cabbage, .... and wat sauce?

this wan, erk.......

it sounds bad, but its very very nice!
i broke my rulez this time, and had my dumplings covered with the lard.
the lard is mixed with mushroom, bacon and meat....

We were famished by the time we ordered our dinner, and guessed we ordered too quickly too much....i had pork chop, which was too dry for my liking.

and livingstone had chicken chop. the poultry wasn't nice, but their potatoes are omigod! yummilicious!

So, it was a day without livingstone's backpack. heh heh...
