Reunion Meal

24-Jan-2009
This had to be bbTara's first reuinion meal. It was lunch at my mother's place.
Having everybody growing up and starting their own family now, we hardly have the luxury to reunite on this special day like we use to do when we were still young. This year, my sister suggested doing it earlier so as to accomodate our dates. Brilliant idea!
This is bbTara, using the head support cushion that aunty judy passed over.
Somehow, I felt her neck movement became restricted. She loves to stare at me in the car when we travel, now, she looked disturbed that she can't move her head freely. haha....ok, let's not use it then.

At home, mom woke up at 6am to prepare the lunch. Having her alone at home doing all these early in the morning, and not forgetting that she has aged, is very tedious. She told us she forgot to add vege into the hokkien mee, and forgot to include my fav mushroom into the fish. haha...

yum yum mommy's curry! got to be the best IMO! The savoury curry and the soft potato.....yum to the max!!

also another fav dish, FISHHHHHHHHHH!

accompanied wif my fav mommy's sauce (its ages since i last had this!!!), and dad especially bought this fish, he claimed is from the ocean, not kept fish. It means MORE expensive of cos. He says fish in the ocean is tastier, cos they are free from chemicals and is less stressful. haha...organic fish issit?!

another fav home cook dish! sng-ar with beancurd and sioh-bah.

my mommy's ngoh-hiong, love it!!

I prefer it done in her way, cos she dun minced the ingredients like wat i always eat out there, in hers, i can clearly differentiate what's inside, i get some crunchy bits like chestnut, and can also picked out wea the prawns are! Delicious and exciting!

and not got forgetting what i will get annually, and it is always from the same place - Holland V, Crystal Jade.

Salmon yu-sheng, Tasted so very nice!!

first CNY reunion lunch for our new addition in the family, look! she has a share in tossing the yu-sheng!! Toss to a gd year ahead!!! HUAT ARHHHHHHHH!

(con't in the next post, for reunion dinner with my in-law's and family on the same day.)
