WAKIN live in concert 2006
we bought the tickets late like we mentioned,
but still, we anticipated the last concert for us for the year 2006.
I have never seen him live before.
so i was kind of excited.
after all...those familiar songs we kept playing on the radio,... im sure the feeling will be different tonite.
we reached the indoor stadium pretty early,
the show is supposed to start at 7.30pm.
surprisingly, there wasn't many cars in the carpark.
but the hall looks like it was full house!
and that was the crowd at abt 7.15pm.
some singaporeans still like to come late for concerts huh.....

jody got sharp eyes!
she spotted us right at the moment she stepped in!
haha....
the concert started at 8.05pm.
hai....so much for anticipating it to start early.
but anyway, lucky it stated that it will start at 7.30pm, if it states 8pm, i think pple will only be seated by 8.15pm ,.....
the 1st song was really an oldies...新的方向. it created a very huge impact!
suprisingly, the crew there wasn't very particular with us taking pictures or taking videos.
its different from the others i went to. kind of weird.
they never stopped us.
the rest of the songs were jus as nice. hearing it live is definately the BEST!
....then, he sang, 明天我要嫁给你了, then, suddenly, the screen display some text....
oooorh....there was this guy that bought some airtime to propose to his gf in front of the full house spectators. *faint*
of cos they were then invited to the stage, to perform... hee....
is it romantic? hmm.... i think it is a very subjective question.
anyway.....
they were giving thanks jus a few songs before the finale.
the whole concert ends at abt 11.45pm.
overall, i like how the singer has performed for us.
He has proved that he has a quality vocal for the past 20yrs.
he appeared in the scene in 1986....
he doesn't need fancy costumes, no spectacular fireworks, or extraordinary stage mechanics.
he only needs his voice to touch everyone of us.
that's a true blue singer.
but there is some kind of disappointment we have with the spectators for the nite.
nobody dares to clap, or sway with the song.
most of them jus sat there listening.
hmmm.....we were like the only monkeys moving with the music.
haha...probably the culture in singapore...
anyway...this concert wraps up our year of 2006 in terms of going to concerts or musicals...
we went to Eagles, Engelberg Humperdinck, 雪狼湖, is mamma mia in 2006 too? hmm, can't remember....
but guess our best concert would be the Eagles.
the crowd, and the band.... wow.... we can still reminisce the entire scene.... :)
We gave Jody a ride after the concert, so that her mom and her wouldn't have to beat the crowd for a taxi.
We all agreed that it was a good show, but the spectators are boring.... hee...
even the encore session was miserable....the crew has to come down and ask pple to clap.
haha...anyway,
