Bye Bye 2006, Hello 2007 !
For the 1st time,
the bunch of us decided to spend New Year Holiday together, overseas.
I scout many agencies, and was told that there were no more tickets available for BKK, Phuket, Chiangmai, Chiangrai, Bintan, Bali, ....
so, the only place available, BATAM.
(no fish, prawn also can la...)
We checked into Batam View Resort on 30th Dec 2006.
jus 45mins away from tanah merah ferry terminal, honestly, the short getaway is not bad at all.
that's the corridor along our rooms.
i guess we were really noisy!!
the 8 of us out to racky the place, before we head to town.
$14 for 1.5hrs of full body massage!
wah lau, so good deal!!!
after the seafood dinner,
its back to the resort, wash up and play and drink the nite away...
the smallest card goes to HL, she still so happy! lol...

the next day,
we decided to stay in the resort, and play ball games.
thanks to kenny and peggy, who brought volleyball and soccerball !
after a few games, 3 of them got injured.
switched to basketball, and had jean and her colleagues joining us!
there was a gala dinner in the resort on New Year's eve,
foam party somemore.
livingstone say, he wants to find some childhood beneathe the foam,
so there he goes,
ayway, after a while, all 8 of us were in there, making turns with human dragon.
eddie is the dragon head. hahaha....
went back to the room to wash up, and got ready for the countdown in the room.

it was interesting, we shared our new year resolutions....
it is something we have never done together for knowing each other for the past 10 years....
the next morning when we check out,
we took the last hr taking wacky pictures.
the sunglass party doing power ranger shots.
that's the human dragon we form during the foam party,
reflection from peggy's sunglass.
who say only the man is incredible?

the guys did the pyramid thing!
that's us, on the transfer, going to the nonsa ferry terminal.
guess where we went when we reach singapore?

for la-la, bbq stingray, bak-chor-mee, chickenwings & oyster egg!! haha...
of cos la, still singapore food better mah!
Im glad that the 8 of us made this trip possible. (on a significant date somemore!)
it is the first, and definately not gonna be the last!
the resort is boring, but our survival skills made us enjoy the trip every day and night.
this proves that it is not abt the place, but abt the company :)
