to act independent....?
Many colleagues asked me, ' how come ur husband never come and pick u?'
i tell them, 'i act independent, so i tell him no need to come and fetch me lo...' hee...
let me elaborate,
we bought a hse in buangkok, which is very close to wea livingstone is working.
I will change job, anytime, but he may not.
so its more sensible to buy a hse nearer to his workplace then mine.
that's one.
Jam, we hate peak hour jam.
there is the bus lane. often, the whole bus lane is empty, and the private cars are not entitled to use it (unless u wanna pay the summon).
NVM.
so often, it becomes really faster for me to take the public transport,
especially since i have yet to hear 'mrt jam leh' kind of excuse or 'mrt lane la'....
the fact that it will only take me 5-7mins to walk to the mrt station gives me more excuse to act independent. haha...
afterall, that was really why we opt to buy a unit here in this part of singapore island.
for ur info, it took me only abt 35mins to reach suntec for work. :) heh heh...
(18mins to reach dhoby ghaut, 2mins to walk out of the station, and another 15mins to reach suntec via bus.)
So, last fri, my colleague ask me the same question agn,
and so, i replied with the same answer,....'act independent lo....'
hur hur hur....
I had arranged to meet livingstone in Parkway parade that evening,
and i will be taking bus 36 from suntec.
My colleague exclaimed, 'huh??? why dun come and pick u? parkway is so far....'
then i said, 'hmm......bus 36 will take ECP, and will reach parkway in 22mins....'
she goes,.....'are u sure? u got time the journey before meh?'
hahaha....
as a matter of fact, it was the 1st time i'll be taking that route, by bus. :)
Anyway, i was on board bus 36. and it really took me 22mins to reach parkway. i kid u not.
bus 36, got into ECP after picking me up, and before i knew it, it has alrd exited ECP, and i will alight at the 2nd bustop. Just opposite Parkway Parade Shopping Centre.
Steady.
Im glad. If i were to ask livingstone to pick me, he would have to be stuck in the stupid jam, and then, when i got in to join him in the car, we would be both be stucked together in the jam again to drive to PP. forget it. public transport betta.
At least it makes some sense to me.
I was happily shopping in PP before livingstone joined me, and i also happily bought a 2Litre vacum flask from isetan sale! hee....
He is always amazed by my quick shopping spree....
...i was only given a few mins before he meet me, but he'll be ensured that i can complete a transaction with a merchant. la la la la la.....
I was actually there to buy some Japan food stuff, as i had planned for JAPAN Hour for Saturday with my in-law and family...
Dinner?
This is the first time i lay my teeth on Pontian Wantan Mee.
$2.50 for the mee, and $2.50 for the 14 crispy fried wantan.
OK la, so-so.
mimi: We had a mahjong session with my in-law until close to 5am in the morning. haha....
