the forgotten kwei....
I remember when I was young, mom likes to buy me tutu-kwei at the da-zhong shopping centre at Magaret Drive....that was after our usual shopping at NTUC Fairprice or library visit.... =)
she will chit chat with the lady who is doing up our order, and being young and short at that time, i can only smell the combination of aroma of the hot hot flour and my favourite peanut while i stand next to my mom..., but wasn't really able to see what the aunty was doing..... =) if you noe wat i mean.
now that im much taller then before (and I guess I must have stopped growing!), I enjoy watching the process of the making of my order. =)
Not like I hv tasted all the tutu-kweis in this island to make the comparison,
but, some tutu-kweis taste horrible!
either the flour is too thick, or the peanut is not fresh,
otherwise it tasted real hard.... =(
Ever since moving in to Coris, i have found my fav tutu kwei stall =)
(if there were light effect, you will see a flash of light flashing at the stall now... )
I will crave for aunty's kwei after dinner sometimes....
"aunty, 3 pea-nut and 3 co-co-nut"
that will spend us $2.
livingstone likes the coconut, which i dun. heh heh...
but he agrees with me that this tutu kwei is really soft and yummy.....
I rediscover my fav tutu kwei at Shi-Fu, Compassvale Bow's Coffeeshop,
next to Shop and Save.
