Very Vintage Market - Hougang Ave 7
Its a Long Long Time since the last time I spotted sign boards like this.
Most of the hawker centres are demolished and rebuilt, and all the stalls have their signage replaced, with delicious looking pictures of their food.
Do u still rem the kind of signage with mickey mouse and donald duck on both ends of the signage? 2 stripes of pop-out sugar cane on both ends of the signage on top of a sugarcane stall? Those were the old old types of designs.....
We went to Hougang Ave 7's market for breakfast, and was very surprised that they are still available in singapore. In fact, this is really a very very old estate/market.....
Tried the bak-chor-mee which was on long queue, added another dollar for meat-ball soup.
It didnt taste fantastic, but the ambient really did mesmerize me. Brings back alot of childhood memories of me and my siblings and parents.... =)
