Patisserie Glace by Chef Yamashita
meow tempted me the other day asking me abt this patisserie...
but i couldnt justify just driving there for the cakes, out of the way...
so that day, after dim joy, i popped over. lucky it was just opposite dim joy. =)
very very small shop. very makeshift type. we didnt have the cakes there, tabao home for the next morning.
A Japanese perennial favourite. They import the best chestnut from Japan paired with the most delicious chestnut paste from France -$5.60
.
On a sponge cake that is laid out line by line and finally rolled to enclose a sweet banana in a layer of fresh cream. The dark bitter chocolate brings out the natural sweetness of the fruit - livingstone's fav! - $5.50
Double the enjoyment of the original Rare Cheese Mango with fresh mango cubes. The cheese goes well with the mango puree. - $4.70
Like the authentic japanese pastries, they are soft, and decorated with heart. Very different texture and taste from our local confectionaries, worth a try.
But, sweetness level is a warning... =)
