Good Friday --> MacRitchie Walk
when was the last time you went hiking?.....err....in singapore i meant.... hur hur hur...
livingstone and i had wanted to go MacRitchie for the treetop walk long long time ago.
excuses after excuses, we delayed the event until....2007 good friday, FINALLY.
we gathered along our frens, and decided on a pinic-hiking for the holiday. yeah!
it's a pinic, heh heh....no need to say la, of cos its a pot luck picnic la...
here goes the menu:
1)peggy's hearty sandwich
2) felin's orange sponge cake
3) and my mix-skewers (taiwan sausage, hotdog, crabstick, ham, cucumber, and 4D number haha)
it was drizzling when we arrived at the park,
so we decided to eat first.
which was actually a wiser decision, becos otherwise we would hv to carry them all the way...
not bad wor, got picnic mat somemore. la la la la la
jus as the rain stopped, and we were getting ready to set off for the trail,
we saw PUPPIES! shit tsu (s), 4 babies.
so cute......only 2 months old.
ok, hv a look, 5KM hmmm.....
so here we go!
thanks to the rain, it made the walk cooling.
we took abt 2 hrs to walk the 5km route.
it was a good walk, we didnt see any creatures (snakes i meant, to be precise).
the guys were walking in front, way way in front,
while the 3 ladies were walking behind, leisurely. heh heh...
they had their men's talk, and we had our women's talk.
the treetop walk will be closed at 5pm.
lucky we reached there at abt 4.30pm. otherwise it will be a wasted trip!
this is a interesting suspended bridge,
pretty narrow. and u are not supposed to turn back. ONE WAY the sign says.
we followed the other trail, and we got to the Jelutong Tower.
on top of the tower, besides admiring the greenery ,
we didnt forget to thank our feet, and our shoes, hur hur hur
i need another target to keep me moving, and walking until we walk back to the carpark.
so, i chanted, 'cheng tng, cheng tng, red ruby red ruby, sugercane....'
hahaha.....
i was craving for something sweet and cold!
this is a farnie tree we saw in the park.
i said, 'weird, bcos of this tree, NPark has to build a hanger, and then signs to tell pple of low trunk....might as well cut the tree!'
then, i saw the sign......ooooooooh......famous tree....
like the leaning tower of pisa..... :)
anothe resting point.
peggy was trying to communicate with the tortise at this point.
wow....it took u a few mins to see this bowl of red ruby with reference from the start of this entry.
but it took us 4 hrs that day to be able to set our teeth into it!
i had this bowl of red ruby, some cheng tng, and a big mug of sugercane!
yah, then stomach pain later..... !^&*()_
and wat is it like without HOT CROSS BUN for good friday?? :)
we bought them from breadtalk this year. Nice.
