Eat, Drink at Serangoon

Dinner was at Pow Sing (Serangoon) with the bunch of talkative pple.... heh heh
reservation recommended, else expect a long wait outside the restaurant.
It was my first time there even though I have seen many advertisements and fellow food bloggers blogging abt the place. My late unker also likes the chicken rice there.

the early birds having a good peanut feast...

for a table of ten, this was our menu:

black pepper venison

"claypot chup-chye" - peggy complained that the smell and taste of dried shrimps is too heavy

"claypot tau foo"

Sweet and sour pork

curry fish head - very little vege

Pow Sing Chicken

Total damage with a few jugs of barley cost $180.
The overall dining experience was forgettable. Food was jus too mediocre. There are too many better chicken rice stalls around. And IMO i think Hup Choon curry fish head is still the best.
I don't think I will ever go back to the restaurant again. =)

We proceeded to Coffee Bean for drinks, and there, we distributed the souveniors we bought for them in HK.
It caught livingstone's eyes in HK when I was shopping for bb's rompers.
And we started choosing so many of them - keychains of different cartoon and real life characters like mario bros, death note L and kira, baby milo, la pi xiao xing, prince of tennis, etc etc....

they were really cute...glad they liked it too. =)

(we got a $10 summon for our car...insufficient coupon.)
