My Birth-Anniversary Surprise

29 years ago, I was brought to this world (by my parents of cos!), 2 yrs ago on the same day, Livingstone and I tied the knot.
This year, I have bbtara in my tummy snuggling close to me while her daddy and mommy celebrate the occassion before she join us next yr. =)

Livingstone put me into a surprise when he told me on saturday morning 'darling, go pack the bag'
And I stared at him blankly, thinking how come he wanted me to pack the maternity bag on that morning?? Then, he said, 'we are going for a nite stay somewea....I can't surprise u till then, cos I still need u to pack the bag, becos i dunno what toiletries u need to bring!!' HAHAHAHA....
That was soooo farnie....

With that, I happily packed the bag, and got ready for our celebration, ALL planned by he, himself. =)

So, after the antenatal class, he blindfolded me in the car (jus in case I exposed his tricks along the way), and we were on our way....it was a long journey from MAH, I couldn't figure out wea he was heading, when I peeped, i could hardly see any commercial buildings or human....all I could see was patch of grasses....

There we were ~ D Kranji Farm Resort.....opened just a mth ago! And they dun even have a website yet! Very new & interesting place.

the room is not big or luxurious, but it was enuf for a relaxed and quality time spent together.

(The heart shaped pillow is from our car la)

Comes with LCD TV and a balcony.

ensuite with outdoor shower

...and toilet.

For a quality time spent together before bbtara joins us, 'thank you so much, darling!!!'

the floor plan of the villa....we were joking abt the fact that the car porch looks as big as the entire room.... haha...

Exploring into the resort......as it was such a new place, not many retails were opened. Many were left emptied for now.

And the pple were still bz planting and ploughing.....see the in-progress-plantation behind us....

There is Corn corner, with corn plantations at the back.

The 18 villas available now, which is fully booked on that saturday.

The good thing is, the villa included a car porch, which u can park ur car and closed the gate with an automatic key. Just like staying in a bunglow.... haha

So, whatever heavy 'luggage' we wanna bring also can...no worries at all!

Livingstone planned our dinner at Petals & Leaves, which was just down the road. Super ulu....

Our soup - cream of mushroom

his order of fish and chips.....not bad.

my order of seafood combo - which I find the serving rather disappointing, mainly becos I compared it with fish & Co's! haha... however, u can't blame me, it was the most expensive item on the menu, and not much description !! However, it tasted good. =)

And that's the restaurant at nite.

The next morning, we had complimentary breakfast at Poison Ivy! Another place on my list that I procrastinated in going, bcos it was super ulu.... haha...

The interior of the restaurant.

Our breakfast set that comes with very gd chicken curry and so-so banana paste....but the prata tasted like those instant one. =)

we topped up our order with their 3-in-1 (dessert), comes with yummy kuei kosui, banana bread and steamed tapioca kuei ! Very nice!

The entire stay was meaningful and it reminded us of our honeymoon stay in Krabi 2 yrs ago. Out of the commercial area, outdoor shower, relaxed and good food.... I have Livingstone to thank for =) .

This place would be perfect if you bring kids along! They provide bbq facilities, good for a family getaway!
