Coris has hosted many gatherings, and as the host, we are happy and glad that we did. :) The many finale fotos at the end of the gathering is our report card. That day, we had my dearest frens visiting during CNY: It was themed "tea-time", so i prepared off-the-shelves finger snacks. bbtara got ang pows....arghhhh, i missed my time too... Two new members in our group, ellen and bbtara....haha.... That day, we had loads of jokes to crack and laugh at, a game of black jack wea all of us (except WP) played andwith bludder Terence as the banker, how can dun give face... haha...
heh heh....its better late than never.... bbTara hit her 3rd month (like u didnt noe alrd huh..look at the ticker above). this month, we brought her for her 2nd jab and also included the oral rotavirus. She cried a little when she was jabbed, and stopped when the pd fed her the oral vaccine. phew. and at the clinic, she weighed 6.8kg and measured 62.6cm....pd mentioned that she will be a tall girl. hmmm..... she continues to give us joy and pride each day....her smiles - she gives us first thing in the morning, everyday, when we stand by her cot....words couldn't describe how it brightens our mood. and one fine day, she achieved yet another milestone:
In fact, ever since bbtara joins the family, I hv more time to prepare dinner at home. Now, we eat-in almost every alternate days, sometimes everyday, depending on what I have in my fridge.... And, the basic must-have dish is the soup. :) That day, i ran thru my freezer, and found the fish that my mom gave me during CNY. she got it for me, becos she noes that is my fav fish. I dunno what it is called in english, but she told me it is the 'ang(3)-zou(2)'. DIY dinners doesn't have to be lavish in my opinion, doesn't need to spend the whole day in the kitchen, what I did here was to simply prepare the soup a few hours in advance, dumping in all the neccessary ingredients for a chinese chicken soup and simply let it boil over low heat....and the fish, ha! best....i only need to prepare the ingredients, and dump the whole thing into the steamer....dinner will be served when livingstone is back. :)
of cos, sometimes i stir fry vege, or meat....cleaning up isn't a hassle to us, in actual fact, i find cleaning up therapeutic. i ain't kidding, i noe u are laughing, but its true. it happens when i see a dirty stove, or a dirty plate comes clean under my hands.... haha........=p but im extra blessed that livingstone shares the washing with me, someone needs to stay with bbtara afterall.... =)

1. I used to be a very, VERY quiet and reserved girl back in my primary school days. I have limited frens, limited conversations with pple. All I ever did was to keep quiet. Even my teacher asked me to speak up more, and mingle more. Ya, I was truly very very shy when i was young. Things got a change when I reached tertiary education. Some say, cos I shut myself up too much, which explained why I became so talkative now. haha....whatever the reason was, im glad with who I am now. You, will agree that I am, or rather too talkative, donch u? :)
2. Something abt my career: I graduated in 1999, which was a recession period. So I grabbed the first job I could get (no matter what it was), and I was blessed that I was employed by Hewlett Packard. After a year, I job hopped to MobileOne, followed by ST and then IDA. And i was extra blessed that with every job, I made new and good frens, whom I still keep in contact today.
3. In my job with ST, I started travelling for work. At times, I had to fly alone, picked up a rented car in the airport, and head straight for work. Of cos, back then, the trips were anticipated, but as the trips got more frequent, I realised I disliked travelling for work. There were undescribed pressure from the customers, and often, becos I was a technical consultant when I was there, and a foreign one, customers decided that I shouldn't be spared, and so, my working hours extended over there, even had to work in holidays. And i often showered in krisflyer lounge before i board the plane.... haha. For the record, I touched places such as, Australia (brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney to be specific), UAE (All of them), America, Shanghai and Oman. Of cos, some trips with my colleague were pretty fun and interesting.
4. My husband is my poly classmate in year two. But we didnt date in sch. We started seeing each other 3yrs after we graduated. That explains why we had common friends.
5. Once, when livingstone and I were in Germany, we almost lost each other. He was taking pictures outside the train, and I (together with two backpacks) am inside the train. So, the train closed its doors, and choo choo.... and I was like 'WHATTTT???' haha, it was comical, seeing me running to the last compartment to like 'wave gdbye' to livingstone, while he ran towards the train, shouting. haha...well, in the end, we met up at the other station after he got the train staff to arrange with me.
6. I have a natural HUGE phobia with snakes (or reptiles in general). Basically, I freak out the moment i see snakes, it can be the real thing in the zoo, or even pictures of them in the magazines. Don't mess that with me.

This yr's annual cny dinner was arranged at Coris. how can we not have 鱼生！ So, all of us, including the babies gather round the table, to toss and turn the dish. This year, I suggested to do it outside the hse, so that after that we can proceed straight back to the dining table for dinner, no need to clear up the mess and rearrange the dishes and tables. how convenient! latecomers: HL and Felin in the house, but absent from this foto: Peggy (feeding bbjade in the rm), me (taking this foto) I suppose I under-estimate the eating power of dez, and didnt prepare enuf food for his appetite...sorry guys. and what is cny without a table of blackjack? heh heh...so, the pink color man became the banker for the nite. then, finally, the walking orange came.... haha... HL also arrived after her workshop...and she's always seen carrying bbtara...haha... there was bbjade still active in the late hours, while bbtara was alrd in lala-land after 11pm. =) and the survivors for the nite taking a group shot. Another cool annual steamboat party. checked. :)
As we shower her everyday, we notice that her reaction slowly changes towards 'her shower buddies'... now, she recognises tigger...cos tigger is everywhere in her cot.... haha....
Encore to the days when daddy was at home during the holidays! we had so much fun snapping bbtara! Love this new tiffany-blue cap i got for her! why did holidays have to end? hur hur hur....
I missed Marche's rosti....so that morning, during bbTara's first feed for the day (6am), I was busy planning the itenary for the day. And then, when livingstone woke up to pee at 7am, I announced in excitement to him that we will be going to Marche....as if I can excite him with the news, he went back to lala land after nodding his head. There I was, getting bz to order the food that we, or rather I desire, while livingstone helped to feed his bbtara. the rosti is still as good. we ordered two pasta, one is obviously salmon, while the other was mushroom and chicken. Livingstone had the weirdest comment for his pasta, 'it tasted like laksa' and, both pasta were really diluted. Fail. The squid....originally my must-have in marche too. it failed me this time TOO. was crunchy on the first bite, but subsequently, we find the squid too chewy. I had no idea wat went wrong....The total damage, with another two bottles of root beer was $62. Very disappointing. Shokudo is a much better choice for the same concept now.
After which, we arranged to pop by adoh's hse to bai nian. the parents were delighted to see bbtara, and complaint that we reached too late....ya, we were really late, by the time we reached their hse, it was 9pm. hee.... next time, next time.... =)
We gather at Simon's hse for a CNY get-together session. Looking at how the kids have grown when u dun see them for a few mths is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! look how chubby is bbGivan now! the handsome big boi! looked like my own kid lo.... wahahahhaha..... Gareth came to join us, nice! Look at how we multiplied! Gorgeous growing up stage! Next, we proceeded to SX & HL's place. It was so ad-hoc! But, it was just round the corner from wea we were!So, why waste the trip ya? =) bbTara receiving an angpow from the host. we had to bundle bbjade and parents together as well!! they lived just opposite wat! haha.... so we ended up having an ad-hoc canadian pizza dinner together. how nice.... :) and they looked so cute next to each other! "look at both our tummies..." lol
