Our lovely neighbour came across this resort in someone else's blog, and share it with us since we were heading to bangkok.

And we fell in love with the place just by viewing the website.....

Having been to bangkok for so many times, this is the first time we will travel out of bangkok for a different agenda (other than shopping!).

Here's how to get there:

We flew to Bangkok, and took a pre booked taxi to the resort. The journey took us 3hrs. The fare is approx sgd160 (return trip, back to bangkok city when we check out of the resort)

About the resort:
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Upon arrival, i was asked to choose from two fragrances for our room, i chose lavender. The staff will drop lavender aromatheraphy oil into the burners in our villa.

We were escorted to our villa by buggy and when we enter the villa, we were greeted by aircon that was obviously turned on for a while, and soothing Olivia Ong's songs playing in the background. They had the details all arranged. Nice and impressive.

The villa is clean and neat. No carpet, but timber flooring. Very clean.

The bedding is extremely comfortable, there is a cushioned platform by the side of the king bed, and it became the perfect place for our bb to sleep at nite. Nice.

We stayed at Barbados, which is their VIP villa. It comes with a jaccuzzi, seperated from the living with a huge glass panel. Nice. Our bb enjoyed the 'pool' so much!

Dinner at Honeyscene is impressive too. Food is nice, staff is friendly and attentive. Absolutely no complaints. Before we leave the restaurant, the staff told us to visit their toilets, because he said the toilets are very nicely decorated. :)

We went. Nice and clean.

Breakfast is one serving for each person, and we chose the american breakfast. Private, nice and clean (again).

While having breakfast, we get to enjoy the exclusive scenary and watch the cows and horses eating grass..
no foul smell. Clean. What a relaxing and nua way to start our day.

The resort prepared chunks of leaves by the side table, free for guests to take and feed the animals. Thoughtful.

We get to feed the sheeps near the entrance when we pay 40baht for each adult. children is free to go in but will not get the leaves for feeding. Well, thank God, only livingstone held the leaves, while I was carrying our bb. Becos the sheeps flocked to him when they see their food, some of it stood on their hind legs and lean against livingstone, asking to be fed. The aftermath was a pair of dirty and stained bermudas. This was quite an experience.

Before we checked out of the resort, the friendly staff will offer to take a foto for us in the five scenes they have created, after which, they will hv the foto printed and presented to us as a gift. Thoughtful, isn't it?

When we were inside the taxi ready to leave, the staff at the reception lined up in a row to wave us goodbye.....This is excellent service.

We love the resort to the max.

And for my friends who are interested to go, pls dun hesitate, go ahead and start planning!
if u hv kids, jus make sure they can tahan the long journey in the car. prepare lotsa entertainment for them, and hv fun! :D

When in Budapest ...

BUDAPEST IS A SUPER EXPENSIVE CITY !!! hee hee....
but its beautiful. =)

Starting our day to the Budapest castle....

food is mediocre....like middle eastern style....

Next, we approach the St. Stephen's Basilica. Totally awesome!

We were on foot the entire day, from Buda to Pest, back to Buda and up the castle at nite to get some nite view.....we needed to replenish some energy....
Back in Buda, we found a really cosy and friendly hungarian restaurant.

And we ordered the must try authentic hungarian goulash.....Look at what we can find in the small serving of soup....veal, potatoes, carrot....yummilicious!!! I could have asked for more!

Every meal comes with lime, red dry chili and paprika chili.

For those that hates killing of young animals, pls pardon me.
I ordered veal..... TOTALLY AWESOME! (I dun think I want to describe how good it tasted, I dun wan to be boycotted)

The Last of Prague

Its blue sky! and we were so happy! We had seen enuf of gloomy sky, so we pack our barangs barangs and there we go, ready to explore Prague city all over agn.
(and its snowing....hee hee....)

The astronomical clock. mounted on the southern wall of Ols Town City Hall in the Old Town Square. The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

And then, a 'bear' came with a signage....

haha, obviously a strike...a mini one-man show strike.
This day, the castle main door was not open to public, there were many officials and even reporters reporting live in the premise.....

Then, as we ascend from the castle....strolling along the Charles Bridge....it started snowing again.....

yeah, bought 2 of those small huts.....actually it is the minature golden lane....

OK, rem the legend i told u abt on the Charles Bridge? Here it goes:
St.John Nepomuck will help keep your secret!
This priest was one of the few who were entrusted with the confessions of queen and wife of king Wenceslas IV (Vaclav).
The king was very peace-loving, at least that is how Czech historians write of him.
Nevertheless, his life has one cruel and dark point which reeks of the blood of an innocent man --John Nepomuck. The king was said to be a very jealous man.
After one trip, upon returning to Prague, he wanted to know from John Nepomuck what the queen had said during her confession. He refused to disclose this to the king though, saying that it was a secret of confession. The king was angered by this and sent the priest to the dungeon. According to some sources, the king himself took part in some of the torture.
Then John Nepomuck said that if the torture stopped, he would tell only one soul present in the chamber what the queen had said. The king thought that would be him and agreed to the deal. John Nepomuck then asked that all people leave the chamber, and he would whisper it to the king's dog. King Wenceslas IV was then supposedly so enraged, that the priest was tortured to death.
At night he was thrown from the Charles Bridge into the river. According to another version, he was still alive when thrown into the river.
When the people found this famous, but now dead priest, he was buried in Prague castle near the cathedral. Later, when the cathedral was rebuilt, the tomb had to be moved. When the body of the priest was unearthed, they found that within his skull there was a perfectly intact tongue. The same as found in any one of us.The church said this to be a miracle, a symbol that the sanctity of the confessional was not broken , and claimed sainthood for him.
Beneath the statue of St.John Nepomuck are two metal plates which detail the story. On one there is the priest and a listening dog in a room. The second is the image of St.John being thrown from the bridge to the river. Anyone who touches either the dog or the priest and wishes for some secret to never come out, will have that wish fulfilled. Both of these metal plates, with the dog and the priest are just shining from the constant touching.
