Our nice neighbour insisted of giving us a treat! We were at Master Crab at compassvale, and the food was really good IMO.Ordered the spinach,
 pork ribs,
hot plate toufu - which was the only dish that was not so nice....
 thai style fried chicken,
and fu-pi-juan (deep fried beancurd skin with prawn) - shiok!
For four person, the dinner only cost us $43, i found it affordable and satisfying. They came to our hse after dinner, to look at bbTara's nursery and they bought with them a gift!!!
omg....how blessed are we?....a dinner and a gift....neighbours, thank u soooo much!!! :)Labels: appreciative, chinese, Dinner, gift, neighbours, quality time

We always try to arrange for a meetup, but somehow, all of us are bz with our own schedules and could not compromise on a gd time. That nite was fantastic! All of us could make it! and the sky wasn't tat bad, which means dennis and jess can join us on their bike! yeah!!
As usual, we were late while picking up felin and veron at yishun mrt. So sorry la, it wasn't intentional, u noe the industry we work in, things always comes in last min.....arghhhhh....
We ordered a table of food, checkout Veron's and Jess's blogs for the detailed postings and pictures!
this is rather special, fried banana with scallop, something like goreng pisang. Nice.
And another special one, salted egg with big prawn. also nice.
Jus when I was caught unaware, dear veron presented me a gift box, and said it was specially made for bbTara... (and i gong-gong thought the gift was meant for Jess, her buddy!)
i was really almost moved to tears, if not for the laughter that followed!! Nobody has ever done this to me before....bbTara is so blessed!!! Aunty Veron hand knitted a receiving blanket for her!! And it took her 5 mths!! Thanks Veron!! U are great!! U added sweet surprise to my pregnancy! We heart it soo soooooo much! Will definitely use it when we go hme with bbTara from the hospital... Im sure she'll feel the warmth.... =)
After dinner, they suggested trying the fish spa! Count me out!!!arghhhh....they look kind of disgusting!
 The men getting ready.....
All of them after settling into the pool of doctor fish.
Then, they decided to put their hands in for the theraphy as well....although it was not allowed...but donch care la....give the fish more dead skin to eat.... HAHA
 The charges: $9 for 15mins.
All of them complimented the theraphy cos it left them with baby smooth skin .... haha.... We proceeded to a cafe on our way out of ulu Bottle Tree Village Restaurant.
We were the only pple there in the quiet and cosy cafe (next to a noisy pub-liked restaurant). Discovered a few antiques in this cafe, and start posing for fotos!
That's the oldest vending machine i ever saw!!!
Even the men were not spared from the camera......haha....EL CafeNo. 12F Andrews Avenue(They have their own range of roasted coffee beans / powder)Labels: appreciative, cafe, chinese, Dinner, gift, quality time, sembawang bottle tree

My in laws and family decided to give me an early birthday treat, jus before my SIL left for the states for her holiday. She suggested going to the new Choon Seng Ponggol Seafood at Turnhouse road. (Warning: Super ulu!!!!!)
Edgar and livingstone...both in stripes. =)
the first dish, something like peking duck....
 yum yum....(more like popiah.... haha)
a platter of some deep fried prawn thingy and hgoh hiang. Nice.
the signature dish, mee goreng. Spicy and good.
Crab Bee Hoon - they were all saying that it was very gd, but somehow, when i drank the soup, I find that the crab taste not strong enuf. Maybe my pregnanancy hormones is being mischeivious.... hur hur hur...
but this is shiok! salted egg with crab! yum yum!! savoury and crispy.
The overall dining experience at this colonial house turned restaurant was comfortable. Food is good, but I might not drool to go back again. Most likely becos I feel the menu is not attractive enuf and the price is quite steep. On a weekday nite, there were only our table and 2 other tables being occupied. But, its definitely a very nice cosy place for private function such as a private wedding! with the chandelier lightings and clean look, i think it looks romantic with a touch of wedding decor! Thanks to my family who brought us there for dinner! and to celebrate my birthday in advance! my MIL even gave me and angpow! so pai sey la.....got bbtara alrd still got ang pow!.... =p

I finally closed the chapter of europe backlogs, have been back to Singapore since 2 months ago.i'l be quickly running thru the events that had happened:Singapore food was what we missed when we were in Europe, have been eating alot since touching down, and I guess because of the big portions presented in the western countries, we found that we were not fed enuf in singapore now. haha.... have to readjust....Went to this Chinese eatery in Smith Street, newly opened by a Chinese lady:Shopname: Yang Gui Fei (羊贵妃)1) Garlic roasted chicken wings - award winning receipe in China, very very nice.
 2) pork / mutton / chicken on skewers! Nice too!
 3) I can't rem the name for this. But its like some kway teow soup.
We had a overall good experience over here, even though Chinese food isn't something that I will crave for. Price is very reasonable too. Staff are friendly. =)Labels: chinese, Food
