Tones of Pink

Sunday is with them...

Rem I blogged abt min jiang the other time?
and their durian pudding i had really blown me away!
that sunday, i decided to go buy take-away, so that I can offer them to my mom and sister.
its the durian festival anyway (that wk, this is the 3rd time im having durian...hee hee)
So, we drove to goodwood park before going to my sista's hse.

$3 for a cup. hmm...was a bit disappointed with the take-away texture, probably too much pudding and lesser durian compared to the one I had at the restaurant itself.

Proceeded to Vivocity for lunch and some shopping.

At Kim Gary, ryan boy holding his fav snack....fries....happens to be my fav too!!

Unker and nephew posing for me....so cute...

I ordered the spicy noodles....yum yum!

Forget abt our shopping harvest!
Let's skip to dinner. That nite, I brought them to Joe's Kitchen - Thai Cuisine...
Been wanting to bring them there, but too many on the list...haha...
Lucky I made reservation, else we would have to sit outside, or queue up for seats..
but parking at alexandra during dinner hours on weekends is really a killer la..
here's our menu:

fried fish - chili, thai style - nice.

sambal potato leaves - abit blend, texture not too right.

deep fried stuff chicken - im not a big fan of stuff chicken, but am ok to try.

here's the fillings - basically consists of corn and water chestnut, not my type. but the crust was crispy and good.

tom yam and green curry - tom yam was spicy and nice. i didnt try the green curry though. It was my sista's fav.

crab vermicelli - abit blend

thai pineapple fried rice - was ok.

The total damage was $60.
There is only one chef at work, so do expect a wait on ur menu. The lady boss is VERY friendly and sociable. Had a good time talking to her since both of us were expecting. haha...
Actually we didnt order any dessert, but as I walked past their kitchen, I saw them preparing the tapioca with coconut milk, and I was so bloody attracted. Im not a big fan for tapioca. I do not rem myself ordering tapioca at any stalls or restaurants.
But the lady boss, forgot my order but later on, she offer it to us on the house as an apology.

Listen, this tapioca dessert is awesome! I love it! very nice.
It changed my opinion towards tapioca from now on. Recalling it makes me crave for more now!
