National Day 2009
It was the open house at National Musuem, so we squeezed some time to visit the place before we met up with our frens for dinner.
And I found this indian characters very interesting. They were performing a play at the open area inside the musuem, with songs and dance and story telling, haha, I of cos didnt understand what they were trying to tell, but the translations on the TV screen was helpful.
I was anticipating that bbTara would be turned off by the characters given the 'scary' makeup and costumes...anw, she stared at them and clapped as they danced... =)
the many spectators...
a tank that fires hearts....peace...make love, not war... =)
anw, that's my interpretations...
this is the main icon we see as we entered the musuem.
Did u scream when u see this?
I did! n i immediately recalled the oh so fragrant aroma of the love letters my neighbours used to make. You see, we were staying at those old estates when we were very very young, in fact, when I was born! And we had this neighbour who stayed at the corner unit, who would make their own love letters by the corridor every chinese new year...yes! by the corridor!
These familiar equipment .... hmm....really shld belong to the musuem... =)
After the short visit, we proceeded to hup choon.
oh yes, for the holiday, i urged all our frens to wear red and white! hur hur hur...
even the babies...
look, put them together, and we see ajapanese singapore flag...we shld hv brought a crescent and five stars... that would make a complete picture. wat a waste....
they looked like they were fighting! hey! make love, not war!
almost wanted to go see the fireworks after the dinner, which was why we had early dinner.
but frens not keen...so we headed to sx's place wea they played mahjong and watched soccer...
the Singapore family! hur hur hur....
"gimme a hug!"
and before we left them for their mahjong and soccer.... =)
spot the non-white/red pple!
