Attended my cousin's wedding tonite, my relatives had fun playing with bbTara... =)
They witnessed how playful this bbgirl is, always on the lookout for eye contact with anybody, then flashes her signature smile!
that tickles that person so much, and they liked her!
am so blessed that our bb is pretty sociable!

She was so tired at the end of the nite....

One fine day, she innovatively used the cheap ikea chair as a walker!
so,....parents, if u are thinking of getting bb the expensive walker, think agn, maybe $4.90 chair is more than enuf.... =)

Fun at North East!

When I didnt cook, I like to think of places we can go when livingstone comes home at nite.
He's nice, though after a day's work, he doesnt mind going almost anywhere with us. =)
Last nite, I suggested that we go to Rivervale Mall!
ah-ah...no car day for us. We are taking the LRT. :)
Having been staying at North East for the past three years, I enjoyed the comfort of taking public transport as much as possible, this is especially so after the arrival of bbTara...really so much easier.
The car will be reserved for other places =)

This is the first time for us in the LRT. bbTara had fun eyeballing the short train ride! So did livingstone....

The extra incentive for going there now is the opening of DAISO!
oooh-hooo.....we shopped there till all the shops were closed! how comfortable we were in there!

ok, got u this headband since u were so happy with it!

Her First Haircut

For those who always asked us "When are u gonna trim her hair?"
We did last nite. :)

Went to the salon at Rivervale Plaza becos Daddy was having his haircut at the barber nearby.

Thank God! We expected her to be cranky, but she behaved and kept smiling at the hairdresser.
$6 for that short session and few snips. But she does look neater now.

And, just for laugh, the hairdresser asked us a question before she started to cut her hair,
" boy or girl?"

Well, lucky she asked.....

let's swim!

It can be pretty fun to have frens who hv bbs of the same age group....so many things we can do together isn't it!

bbShanelle's virgin swim! daddy even got her a neck float! with that, she could kick water on her own and drift away from anxious daddy!

I usually dun swim together with them, bcos I think its better to have some1 dry, just in case the bbs need to get up...and we won't be all clumsy to handle.

ever since we brought her to indoor play gyms, I began to be more open to public playgrounds. Before, I would not know when to start exposing her....
so now, if its not too late, we will stop by the playground below our hse, it is perfect time for daddy to bond with his bbgirl too...

I love homecook food.
I don't rem dragging myself back home for dinner when I was young.
or maybe jus once a while, when there are temptations to hv dinner with frens.... heh heh...
Im lucky that my mom can cook!
and I always like to jot down her recipes and make them on my own now.
Afterall, I hope bbTara will be proud of me when she grows up too...I dun need her to tell anybody if she likes my food, she only needs to whisper in my ear, and that's just enuf.

a one-pot kind of solution....easy and nice. =)

and just the other day, my MIL wanted us to bring home the pomelo...
I never like to eat pomelo on its own...so I made us the mango+pomelo+sago dessert.... =)

If u ask me, I rather not step into the 30s club. hiak hiak hiak....

So, I planned for the day....and I wanna go to the beach! it will be bbTara's virgin visit to the sandy beach!
ah-ah....we didnt head to sentosa...my theme that day was 'North-East Day', so I suggested Punggol beach. Indeed a very nice place, clean sandy beach, with no crowds at all.

Thank God, she was not afraid of sand at all! For I initially thought, she would dislike the texture....

she grabbed a handful of sand....and i love the way she explore the stuff....

notice there aren't anybody at the beach besides us....

the 1 hr on the beach was HOT! I was so engrossed with her activity, that i totally forgot to take off my singlet for a better tan! now I end up having two colors...damn....
and bcos bbtara covered her body well with her swimming costume, she ended up having a tanned face and hand. haha...

Anw, next, we proceeded to Anchorvale CC's swimming pool!!
rem i mentioned 'North-East Day'....
we had it all!

This public swimming pool feels like wild wild wet!! Awesome!

trust me....bbTara is very tired now as u can see...

thanks Huggies! for the free swimmer sample we've gotten frm them! like how they market it, the diaper didnt swell in water....thumbs up!

For the fun we had in the morning till noon, bbTara fell into deep sleep for four hrs after the shower and lunch....

When she woke up, we con't our 'North-East Day' thingy, and proceeded to Urban Spoon for my birthday dinner....

awesome drinks! I had some smoothie that resembles ultimate blend from coffeebean and livingstone had Ice Mochaccino....spot bbTara's drinking mug :)

these Jazzy wings were spicy but jin nice!!

the highly recommended crayfish laksa in pesto sauce....but it wasn't fantastic in my opinion.
Too special for me, i would still prefer that traditional bowl of laksa gravy with taupok and all...

This was good for me! I expected the sauce to be similar to the jazzy wings...but I was surprised!
the ribs were tender and juicy, now it made me drool....

my birthday tiramisu. yummy!!!
trust me, as I savour the dessert, I could taste the effort of the chef! No kidding! very nice!

and on this day, bbTara is blowing the candle together with me...
my bb is growing.... =)

30 is defintely just a figure. =)

2009 Mooncake Festival

Part two of the day:

After the celebration with ryan boi at vivo city, we proceeded to sx's place for our annual mooncake festival gathering ...
It was a ta-bao theme, so we brought satay, hot hot from Whampoa!

I had fun this nite!
with us splitting up into the female group and the male group, we had so much quality time gossiping and chatting! Caf was in between lo, but thank god there was him, crawling with our two babies as we were too lazy to follow them in the hse...:p
the time ticked tocked away pretty fast! before I realised, it was 12mn! we had to run!
like a cinderella... :p
cos my dear bb had to have her last feed of the day and of cos her beauty sleep!
hur hur hur....
sorry la frens, last feed have to be consumed at home so that she can sleep better.... heh heh

Ryan turns 6!

My dearest nephew turns 6.
unbelievable, feels like i was carrying him as an infant jus last yr....
further more, he had alrd got himself enrolled in primary school, going for orientation somemore.
what a truth to digest.

I asked him what he want for his birthday, and he asked for watches.
I told him to leave the selection of cartoons to me...
so i got him his fav BEN Ten and transformers watches...
got him delighted!

met up with ah ma to celebrate his birthday at vivo's earl swensens (that place sucks, esp the menu).
it was mooncake festival that day, so there was part two to the eventful day.... :)
