Sunday, we were supposed to attend a wedding together with my in-laws. Since the dinner is at nite, we decided to stay at home in the afternoon and continue our movie mania (too many movies at home, too llittle time to watch!)
I choose 'Sleepless in Seattle'. I know it is a super old movie, but i still wanna watch it anyhow.
Did u watch it? Do u rem the lines?
Doctor Marcia Fieldstone: Tell me what was so special about your wife? Sam Baldwin: Well, how long is your program? Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were suppose to be together... and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home... only to no home I'd ever known... I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like... magic.
Jay: Well, this is fate! She's divorced, we don't want to redo the cabinets, and you need a wife. What do they call it when everything intersects? Sam Baldwin: The Bermuda Triangle.
It was a simple love story with a nice OST. Halfway thru the show, my stomach started growling, I checked the freezer, and got some stuff out to bake.
some straight cut fries! I sprinkle lotsa chedder cheese on top to bake together! and added some mayonnise after that, sounds like some KFC cheese fries, minus the spring onions! hee...I love the oven, works magic for me within minutues!
The wedding dinner at nite was at Boon Lay Raja Restaurant.Never been there, no expectations. Food was considered mediocre. ambience-rowdy.We sat in a table of 7 (3 didnt turn up), all relatives.2 of them were vegan, that left 5 of us to eat plates of food that were prepared for 10.gosh!So as the relatives were bz chatting away, I got myself bz with stuffing the food. haha...
Nice stamped choco. =)

Without my sista this time, I baked my own mini-pineapple tarts. Took quite a long time to mould them.Luckily Livingstone was there to help glaze those little tarts.
I purposely made them this sexy, so u can see the pineapple filling from the side.cover a bit, and expose a bit. sexy boh?

If you go to People's Park hawker centre, u will see some stalls with long queues, from yong tau foo, to roasted duck, to fishball noodles. So, that nite, I decided to try the char siew rice and fishball soup. Both didnt turn up nice for us.Don't understand why the char siew rice so many pple queue. these fishballs 'mai-hiam' ok, but they are not as bouncy as those regular wans i ate from else-where probably becos they are hand made? For a conclusion, I will not patronise them again. To each its own. Good luck to those who queue up for these foods.Labels: Food

If you remembered, I visited baby Issac and mother jocelyn, last mth in Mt E.See how different he has grown! and he is as tan as his dad! haha....
The party was held at Normanton Estate. Having stayed so near to this estate for the longest time, this was my virgin visit to the "town". Indeed, the place is very interesting. With its own exit from AYE, left-turn straight thru the security, this condo looks just like a foreign plot of land. Many families enjoying their own party alongside the swimming pool. It also has its own club house which sell cooked food, and even has its own line of stalls/shops underneathe the function room. Cool!
Noah! the demure little boy! We met again! :)
Congratulations to mother Racoon (Jocelyn), look hoe radiant she looked!this foto would be complete with ah-blur and doreen! :(, too bad they couldn't make it.
together with the rest before Livingstone and I left for another gathering. We had to celebrate "pui-shun",dennis's, birthday this yr, its like we owe him for the past donkey years, but its not our fault, he was too bz in the foreign land, we are jus nothing to him when it comes to birthday celebration, furthermore, it is just a local affair, haha....We met up at Dempsey PS cafe.Though I pre-book the table of 10 quite early, still the cafe screwed up and lost my reservation.Nonethless, we were still given the big space. So Im thankful that my duty was completed and that we do not have 10 pairs of legs wandering in Dempsey, in search of a big space to house us. Phew!
Ah Siang and his dinner in a romantic ambience....
As usual, I had my pot of Earl Grey, and it comes with the English Finebone China that I like. So elegant. And it of cos have to be a surprise for Dennis. Forget abt the hiccups we had earlier,we were finally able to arrange for the waiter to stand behind dennis's chair and wait for my cue to present him with the cake.
SX, with the excuse of giving out Ang Baos to us, as token of appreciation had alrd prepared the packets, with Dennis's packets being the most unusual, - birthday wishes were written on namecards slotted into the red packets.
Gotcha!!!
And with felin's help, we got him a watch as a gift!
dono why, he appointed himself as the spokesman of casio for year 2008...
With the "press" firing non-stop at him. the group fotos!
And that's me, posing for Livingstone as he test out his own flashlight. :)Labels: baby, Birthday, khk

My youngest uncle passed away today evening....At the age of 52, he was a man you can depend on. From bringing home the bread, taking care of his loved ones to taking ownership of the house chores at home. He was always the one.He is super fillial, and I always say, "he is my role model".Words can't described how much effort he put in as the care giver to my grandmother during her living years...He was always the man to lead the family.Today, he was jogging at Mt Faber alone, and he collasped. When we arrived at the hospital, he was lying on the bed, breathless, and my aunty was crying for him...."老公。。。老公。。。"She had became hysterical, and was too distraught to speak. Sitting on the wheel chair, with a hospital councillor with her, we were all ordered not to cry, so as not to aggitate her futher...Uncle's eyes were not closed completely. I suppose he didnt want to leave his family.I didnt want him to leave too......:(Farewell Uncle....Labels: life, tribute, uncle
