For two years, I have withdrawal symtopms when it comes to watching action packed movies.I selectively watched them if I had to.So how did it happen?I guess, it was just too much of them, and I was deprived of my fav type of shows - romantic comedy, and totally romantic movies.(I even had to watch 'Nanjing Massacre 'with him when I was pregnant!)Now, when heswitched on the DVD player for his movie marathon on weekends, I switched off my brain and walked straight to my bed. Period.I finally shared with him .... that I missed these shows...After SATC not long ago, I watched 'Confessions of a Shopoholic', how slow I was, I know. But better late than never. I was literally rolling on my sofa, Laughing. It was so therapeutic for me!And as for him, I think it was seeing me happy that makes him think the movie was interesting. It was 3.30am when the show ended, bb was sleeping in her room, and I was still giggling when I replay the scenes of the movie in my head.....Nice.Labels: movie, thoughts

I am sure you know I seldom head to town, especially during weekends. Not unless I have stuff to get, or my family needs to go run some errands. With the fact that my right back (butt) hurts now when I walk too much, I didnt even meet up with my family during the weekend. But I had to go SIM LIM to get a transformer/adaptor for my new breastpump that my dear fren, Nicole, helped to lug back for me from the states (Thanks sooooo much Nicole!!!) I got the adaptor for jus $15, so nicole's help saved us SGD$220! YEAH!! Will post the breast pump soon. =) The sky was beautiful when we exited from SIM LIM Tower, can't help but to snap it....
Since we jus had lunch, and we were in town, we decided to head to the new dessert bar at Seventh Heaven. Juuuuuuust in case, bbTara pops, and I can't make more new discovery....haha Located at the old Gan Eng Seng Sec School, it was ulu, but very cosy.
Livingstone and me (37 weeks). The shop doesn't accept card or nets, and it so happens that we are cashless that day!!! So, livingstone had to drive out to the ATM, while I decides what to order...BRAVO! he will trust my selections, i know. =)
And so, I ordered two items, the above is 3-in-1 espresso ice-cream ($5.80), comes with brandied cherry. I love the biscuit accompanying the ice cream! sad to say, i think my tastebud hasn't been very sensitive to some food(s) ever since I reached the last stage of my preg, I couldn't really taste the strong espresso fragrance. Anyway, i still enjoy the creaminess and the sweet indulgence. And it happened that they are taking this item away from their menu come Nov. =) So, we were considered lucky! This is the brandied cherry. I can't take liquor, so livingstone took it.

Then, I also ordered the warm chocolate moist cake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream ($7.80). We had to wait for 20mins for the cake, but let me tell u this, the wait is worth it! IMO, the sweetness of the cake is juuuuuust nice! As u bite into the moist cake, i can only think of the word 'heaven'....really really nice....
pair it with the vanilla ice cream, lagi best!
And since we were in town, we decided to head to vivocity for a movie.Wrong choice of movie, arghhhhhhhwatched the comedy by Ben Stiller - Tropic Thunder. Turned out to be the most awful show i had ever watched!
Yucks! Lucky I didnt pay $10 to watch the movie, with OCBC credit card, we had $2 off. The show was extremely boring, the first 10mins of the show alrd set me cursing and swearing, and i wanted to walk out....this show was full house for the slot somemore! arghhhh....waste time. Sunday, we were supposed to attend a wedding together with my in-laws. Since the dinner is at nite, we decided to stay at home in the afternoon and continue our movie mania (too many movies at home, too llittle time to watch!)
I choose 'Sleepless in Seattle'. I know it is a super old movie, but i still wanna watch it anyhow.
Did u watch it? Do u rem the lines?
Doctor Marcia Fieldstone: Tell me what was so special about your wife? Sam Baldwin: Well, how long is your program? Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were suppose to be together... and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home... only to no home I'd ever known... I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like... magic.
Jay: Well, this is fate! She's divorced, we don't want to redo the cabinets, and you need a wife. What do they call it when everything intersects? Sam Baldwin: The Bermuda Triangle.
It was a simple love story with a nice OST. Halfway thru the show, my stomach started growling, I checked the freezer, and got some stuff out to bake.
some straight cut fries! I sprinkle lotsa chedder cheese on top to bake together! and added some mayonnise after that, sounds like some KFC cheese fries, minus the spring onions! hee...I love the oven, works magic for me within minutues!
The wedding dinner at nite was at Boon Lay Raja Restaurant.Never been there, no expectations. Food was considered mediocre. ambience-rowdy.We sat in a table of 7 (3 didnt turn up), all relatives.2 of them were vegan, that left 5 of us to eat plates of food that were prepared for 10.gosh!So as the relatives were bz chatting away, I got myself bz with stuffing the food. haha...
 Nice stamped choco. =)

we have been waiting for this show since cows come home.... haha....sooooooo nice!ultimately entertaining! I love the way they gel the fairy tales characters into the story....All so sweet! :)can't forget how Pinochio smoke his way thru man.... haha....Prince Charming: You! You can't lie! Where is Shrek? Pinocchio: Well, uh, I don't know where he's not. Prince Charming: You don't know where Shrek is? Pinocchio: On the contrary, Prince Charming: So you do know where he is! Pinocchio: I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that I undeniably Prince Charming: Stop it! Pinocchio: Do or do not know where he shouldn't probably be. If that indeed wasn't where he isn't! another favourite:Donkey: Alright people, let's do this thing. Go Team Dynamite! Pinocchio: But I thought we agreed we'd go by the name Team Super-cool. Gingerbread Man: As I recall, it was Team Awesome. Wolf: I voted for Team Alpha Wolf Squadron. Donkey: Alright, alright, alright. From henceforth, we're all to be known as Team Alpha Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron. Shrek Shrek Shrek.... :)Labels: movie

Many weeks ago, peggy suggested watching "A Midsummer Night's Dream":
a shakespear's play. Im not a fan of him. but since it is an outdoor play, a picnic somemore, im game for it. :) but hor, peggy ended up in Macau instead.... hahaha....so, the person who suggested it missed it totally.
We were then discussing who to prepare what food, who to bring what items. and since we have a vegan in the group that nite, i volunteered to make inari sushi, and baked chicken wing.

Now, dun ask me if the play is nice. i told u i m not a fan. So, seriously, i dun really noe what they are talking abt, haha....im literature illiterate. la la la la la la la.but it was a good concept for a play.(the answer is ah siang is the fairest lo. im tanner then him...)Labels: baking, cooking, Dinner, Food, Japan Hour, Merry, movie, nature, picnic, quality time
