Busy, but we'll be right back!!

it was our number 7 yrs together as a couple.... *beamed*
this yr, we had bbTara joining in our celebration. and it was planned that we will spend time together on the saturday. the exact date.
The itenary was to go to Marina Barrage, and then Singapore Flyer, and then dinner....
I was just whining to livingstone that it is gonna be crowded at those places, since it is gonna be a saturday...but I have no intention of asking him to skip work on a weekday.

On Friday, he woke up as usual and left for work.
And he rang me up at abt 12pm, the first question from me was 'u wanna buy me lunch issit??'
haha...as if I knew what he planned! but i of cos didnt....
He said no, but he was just calling to check out what I was doing.
So, after we ended our conversation, the door bell rang.
I peeped thru the doorviewer, and this was wat I saw:

OMG, the flower covered the person holding it, and I had to look down to see the shoe, to tell who this person is!
and it was my livingstone!
the surprise was successful! I was beaming from left ear to right ear, and kept giggling the whole time...
and he packed lunch for us, came complete with dessert. yum! haven't had gd lunch since I decided to become a SAHM.
and, it looked like I had not figured out what he was up to, I saw the laptop bag with him, and asked him, 'u are not going back to the office??'
and he said, 'NOPE!'
ho ho ho.....so, he had it all well planned..... =)

We dressed up bbTara, and packed our barangs for the day. The celebration came earlier this time. =)

I knoe her attire wasn't really fit for the place, but, before we left the house, the sky threatened to rain! I had to prepare her for a storm, rather then panicked later! anyway, it was jus stockings-tights to keep her warm. I reckoned she needs to be warm, then to be cold.

it turned out to be a gd afternoon after the rain....

and her smiles!

marina barrage is indeed a gd ground for photoshooting. the wide skyline and blue sky plus the green patch of grass works like a canvas for designers. i love that place! too bad, we didnt have a very beautiful sky that day. but, we'll be back!

the singapore flyer's tickets were complimentary from Ritz Carlton the other time we checked in for a stay. The tix were then kept and used only today. =)

haha, she's having a'fist-time' high up in the sky!

the ride was nothing to yell abt, no scenary, too many constructions. Anyway, we expected it. =)

dinner was out of town, back to our area, brewbakers agn. familiar but nice. =)
this time, livingstone tried the spring chicken, while I had my usual order of chicken and mushroom baked rice. yum!

we had fun! thanks to livingstone who was willing to spend his workday with us!!
the whole day, we kept reminiscing what was done 7yrs ago, the path we took, the conversations we had, etc etc.....
thanks for the arrangement darling, the flowers and the effort! we love u! *smoooch*

Brazil Chicken

I was planning for dinner that day, and was playing back curtis stone's show from my DVD recorder (boi, that recorder has became my recipe database!).
Seconds later, I decided, this is gonna be it.
Brazilian Chicken.

Simple and no fuss, what I did was to sling bbTara and went to the NTUC downstairs to get some onion, green pepper and yellow pepper. Do u wanna noe how easy?
Brazilian Chcken
Ingredients:
Chicken thigh / Drum (whatever u prefer, i used both)
1 green pepper, and 1 yellow pepper
1 big yellow onion
1/2 bottle of white wine

method:
- pan fry chicken parts till half-cooked, and leave it aside
- then, stir fry the onions in olive oil until soft.
- add green and yellow pepper
- put chicken parts back into the pan on top of the vege
- add 1/2 bottle of white wine into the pan
- simmer for 15-20mins, cover pan with lid

Viola, chicken, the brazilian way. =)
How easy!

It was good, we had it with rice. Livingstone, who doesnt' eat the capsicums, finished his share of it that nite.

Try it. it's too easy to reject it =)

Rare Family Day

It was our 'once-in-a-while' family day, just the three of us.
You see, saturdays were largely reserved for my family, while sundays were reserved for livingstone's family. So.....

There we were that day at Raffles City, after bbTara had a nap at home. And while we were deciding wea to go for lunch, livingstone said 'shokudo'!
haha....ya, looks like it became our fav restaurant for now. :)

and we had the same table agn! good place to park the stroller!

the menu was:

this huge burger was really yum-yum, sandwiched with thick juicy beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, mushroom and even an egg, I had trouble dividing it into two portions, becos it was simply stacked too high for cutting...haha

this was good too, but we thought the burger was betta. :)

and this beef fillet was so unforgettable since the last time we had it! so, it became our must have everytime now.

yeah! we are anticipating bbTara to be able to sit with us on the same table and eat the same food, if not, her own titbit!! =)

bbEnen's full month

It felt like just one blink, and it is now bbEnen's full month celebration!!
Since it is so near to our hse, we asked the Loh's to pick us up so that we dun hv to drive. I go green okay. :)
So, they came up to feed bbJade, and we had a mini photo taking session....
Ever since bbTara reached her four months, she kindof recognises faces, and is rather selective to whom is carrying her. Below picture is an example:

and after that, bbTara's eyes followed kenny everywhere he goes....

"Stand-up for Singapore!"

See, bbTara is still staring at Kenny...

the fathers in crime, -- plotted the force hug... haha

nice smile from kenny, too bad Jade dropped her head....

Introducing Barney to bbJade.

then, we suggested to lay them down for photos....but bbTara got all excited, and back slammed bbJade!!! arghhhhh....so malu...hahahaha

So, barney came to jade's rescue....put him in the middle. bbTara suddenly so well behaved and clasped her hands....

Next, we proceeded to the party venue!
how come didnt snap peggy with her sarong sling!?? else we can have a sarong party lo....haha
I previously blogged that carrying her on the sling is very tiring, I need to amend that statement, I m getting the hang of the sling, and is so used to it now.
Act as a very gd 'poncho' too when its drizzling, I only need to wrap her up and run straight to the car! And the best part is, she falls asleep each time i sling her. Now, we wait for adoh to get the sling too....then, we can really become sarong party girls....lol
