Livingstone's B'day 2007

i love celebrations!!!

high time he replace his torn wallet.....

Since we are on leave, to spend D B'day together, I brought him to Equinox (a surprise for him)for high tea....
yah, at the highest place i can find, for high tea, aren't we high? haha....

ok, now the question is, ' the food nice?'

IMO, the pastries scores the highest rating, the rest are jus mediocre. Wasn't alot of selection either.
$35+++ for each adult. from 3pm to 5pm.
enjoy the scenary i would suggest.
the food is not fantastic.

the picture looks like i was super-imposed in there!!!

i was jus been told, that all churches is a cross when they are view from the top.

wow.....amazing. Nice.

heh heh.....do we get a share of their profit???

The cake shop close at 6pm, we rushed there from cityhall, got caught in the usual peak hour jam, and by the time i reach them, the boss is abt to lock the gate!

I took the money, jump out of the car, (didn't even bother to close the door!) and ran to the shop "unker!!! wait!!"
lucky he not deaf, and lucky he nice guy,
he entertain me. he sold me his choccolate fudge cake.
seriously, i have been craving for this cake......

the choc smell is so strong.....simply irresistable!

an excuse to order the cake, since it was livingstone's b'day. hee hee....

the cake is incredibily soft. i kept it in the fridge for a nite, but the texture is the same like when i jus bought it. really. pls trust me. i haven't tasted a choc fudge cake as soft as cotton.....(not like i tasted cotton la... heh heh)

happy birthday my dearest livingstone. =)

The good O' tymes ! - Mambo Jambo

Sunday, July 29, 2007

Almost in every outing, we talked abt mambo,
how we skipped the first earliest lecture/tutorials on thursday, BCOS TUPID MAMBO is on WED!

and the farnie and embarressing incidents that happened rite there! =)
haha....

we always conclude that mambo leaves us the most memories.....
honestly it has been abt 10 yrs..... how come we havent re-visited that place!??
what are we waiting for????????

So, I suggested that we shld step our foot there agn,
to see what is the crowd like now, to see how's the music now, to reminicse the entire mambo nite. =)

We meet at zion road for the dinner (like wat we did before), had my fav fried toufu!
food

and its off to mambo at 9pm!
it was also ah dee's and livingstone's (lunar) b'day on the same nite, so it gave us another good reason to party!
them
us
it was as crowded as before.

there are aunties and unkers lo! (lol)
a good mix of retro music, 90s and 20th centuries music IMO, nice songs comes up along the way for the past 10yrs, so why waste it? heh heh....
can't please everybody at the same time, so, its a bit of this, more of that, none of the bad to try and pls all of us.... =)
something different now, is, there is now mambo kings, who created the mambo steps! they stand on the platform in the middle of the dance floor, and everybody else, jus try to follow them, its a dance with unity, pretty interesting. =)

I enjoyed myself thoroughly! i kid u not. =)
if not for the work day the next day, I would love to stay till it shuts its music system! haha... =)
a pity i did not call budd along.... =(

half a day's leave for quality time...

Hv been occupied for the past few weekends to fully focus my time for my family.
I took half a day's leave on Tues, also to bring my mom to poly clinic to see a doctor so that we can be referred to specialist for her getting-worse kneel cap.

everything happens with a purpose, really, i have to believe.
bcos i took leave, to go to the clinic,
instead of the long waiting list to see the specialist in SGH (usually 3 mths away)...
i was given a slot for the immediate next day! was really lucky, cos some1 cancelled her appt.
wow, like touch 4d!
although it means i have to take another day's leave, but its all worth it! =)
the earlier the better.

took mom to tiong bahru plaza to eat our fav fish (Ed Fish Delight).
everytime we eat this, we got reminded of her mom, my grandmother.
mom will tell me how much my grandmother likes this stall, and how many times we have packet for her to eat before she passed away.....
food

its the usual teh-session at Ya-kun after our fish lunch.
doreen joined us too! =)
kopi
thank you to whoever is watching over us.....

I promised livingstone that I will embark in my first apple crumble,
I did. =)

Sushi Hour

I have been eating many sushi(s) lately,
mainly takwaways.
cheap, convenient, and at least healthier choice then chicken rice, bee hoon....and etc....

U see, I finished my gym at abt 9pm regularly,
and i really didnt want to take any full-size meals.
Livingstone is now picking me up from gym, and we will then go for his dinner.
If i dun takeaway sushi, im gonna end up having the same thing as he ordered.....
sinful.....very sinful.
and the best reason is, when i go to the sushi bar at 9pm, most of the sushi packs are alrd on sale.... hee...hee....
sushi
yum yum.....

the beautifully glazed donuts.
donuts
if i have to rate them agn,
then, eat it while its hot, if u can't, reheat them in microwave oven when u reach home, 20seconds.

Project E + L -- Successful :)

July, we celebrate 2 of them's birthdays.
The challenge is, how do w surprise them? If we celebrate eddie's, then livingstone will definately anticipate for his, and will be on guard for our attack.
However, the idea came with ease..... :)
We shld attack both of them together, on the same day, but,
we'll just seperate it into different sections. *grin*
Livingstone knows abt eddie's attack, so, he will never expect us to prey on him so soon.... heh heh...

we arranged and plotted each other's roles way before hand,
we shall run project E + L on our usual workout Sunday. :)
Felin will come 30mins (with eddie's cake) after the guys started their soccer game.
We then slowly walked to eddie with the cake, lighted, (while he halftime from the game), singing at the top of our voice -- his birthday song, right at the soccer-court. U can imagine eddie's shocked expression!!
haha.....
1
2
right after this celebration, we hv to rush for the 2nd's.... hur hur hur....
so kenny told eddie that we prepared a sabo session for him in kenny's hse, and we have to all go up together. (actually, the 2nd cake is in their hse alrd....)
so, we all walked along.....
3
and as we approached kenny's hse, i discreetly told eddie abt the 2nd attack, heh heh....

'SWEE!' he said.....good, he is ready to attack livingstone now. :)
4
so, the ladies took the 1st lift, and rushed in to prepare the cake for livingstone.

livingstone and the rest took the 2nd lift.
kenny on the other hand, told livingstone to block eddie so as not to let him run away, hahaha...crap lo....the real intention was to distract livingstone and to buy time so that we can prepare for his attack. haha....
4
peggy, waiting to attack livingstone.... :)

As they walked in, we sang aloud the 2nd birthday song,
livingstone sang along, as he thought that it was agn singing for eddie,
(co-incidentally, peggy and felin bought the SAME cake, same size, same flavour, and from the same shop somemore! haha, so co-incidentally created the perfect attack!!)
he didnt realise that the cake that peggy took out was not cut. He still thought it was eddie's b'day cake.
He sang and we sang, and then we said, '....Happy Birthday to Nicholas....Happy Birthday to you...." HE BLUR LO.....haha....suddenly stopped singing and get the correct picture. haha....
5
livingstone is totally caught by surprise!
6
7
the 2, who had their b'day 2 days apart in July.
8
then we presented them their presents, and eddie tries to snatch livingstone's, when he sees that it was a starwars figurine.... haha....
9
we got eddie Valencia's jersey.
10
like recruiting a new soccer player lo....

and livingstone's present....
11
12
the dinner at henderson market...

thanks to felin who made the card :)

Project successful! totally caught them unaware. :)

Livingstone: "Thanks for the surprise. That was really a good one. I really do enjoy myself. Thanks for the lovely gift. Another item to my collection. Xie Xie."

Eddie: I also want to thank q everyone of you. You all got me! And I really like my jersey too!...*some text cut off cos not relevant...hee hee*....Really going to miss you all when i'm in middle east. Love you all! Our Love will survive!!"
