We were celebrating Peggy's birthday the other nite,
and there was an inspiration to organise an afternoon tea party!
without further delay, we decided to do it on the next holiday ~ Deepavali!
Potluck, yah, u be saying, 'argh, what else???'
however, it has been our group's culture, and we kind of lurve the idea, and so, we are sticking to it, at least for now. =)
MENU:
from SX and HL...the pizza and the ice-cream...
from me, the mini pastry (tuna and fruits)...
although the fruit tarts was not meant for this party, but im glad to include them anyway =)
felin's strawberry tart!
ah siang contributed the papaya, and also cut it for us himself.The reason why I mentioned that he cut them, was becos, he didn't know how to cut!and all of us were teasing him.... haha...and for the record, he bought papaya that was not riped... =p
peggy came, with flour, sesame and sugar....to bake the sesame cookies...
we had a mini library reading corner in the living. heh heh...
the group sitting together, spending quality time. =)
 What's an afternoon tea, without fresh flowers?I bought gerbera to brighten up the occasion, and then, they decided to use it as props...
having fun!! =)
peggy also brought our childhood game along!

HL even showed us some head stunt while she observed which stix can be picked!
The nite ended at Kembangan, where we went for some mee sua for dinner.It was a long day, but it was a very relaxing gathering we had,not too much food we prepared this time, just nice to fill our stomach(s),and then, we just sat there round the table, to chit chat together. sharing some ideas and philosophy.It was fate, that I got to know this bunch of pple. Most of us shared some 10+ years together...maybe that's why we always have so much to talk about. from common friends to common jobs, to common events, and to uncommon happenings and philosophies....it takes alot of give and take to have us still keeping in contact with each other after so many years, and as our friends found their partners, our group multiplies... =)hmmmm....i love the way we are maintaining this bond.... =)nah, nothing much....just me babbling.... =)oh, did i mention that livingstone and I be flying to bangkok the next day? yeah!!!

I missed the party last yr due to my wedding,
so this year, im back, with my sista and budd at Hilton last Saturday. =)
its quite worth it, paid $25 per pax. $20 redeemable for the products I purchase at the party.
So, effectively, I paid $5 for what I am gonna eat and drink there. yeah!
not forgetting there are goodie bag... hee...
so aunty.... =p
but then again, anybody with the right sanity will know how to grab good deals lo.... =)
that's budd and me after purchasing our products....very expensive lo...=x
that's ryan when he was boring lo. played bubble breaker on my phone. steady pom pee pee huh?

 one of my fav, smooooooked salmon sandwich!then, its games time! budd and I volunteer as 1 of the teams, and up the stage we went,to play a game of 'transporting the pingpong balls' with chopsticks and spoon.not easy to grab the pp balls with chopsticks lo.bcos budd is wearing dress, so i volunteer to take care of the chopsticks,while she waits for me in the middle of the stage with her spoon. Then she will drop it into the bowl behind her.I think we came in 2nd.
 and this was the prize we won. mai hiam la....
 ryan starts to get boring..... =)

This is another session of team building.
I noe.... i noe.... i noe what is in ur mind right now...
this is my 5th team building programme for the past 7 months.
its quite alot, but i am beginning to appreciate it, as the mgmt is trying to help us align our workplan along the way. Better then u work for the whole year, and doesn't know what is the team's objective, how your intiative has helped the rest of the pple, how's the performance, where are we now with regards to our target in 2010 and so on....
This time, the venue is at Yio Chu Kang, The Grassroot Club.

And the much anticipating activity, creating our own window mosaic...
and this was what our team created:
And the objective?:We have 12 groups, 12 window mosaics, we have a theme, that is to create a picture with the mosiacs, that shows either 1) synergy, 2) transformation or 3)growth.we appointed a ART director, and so, we created a story: As you can see, (the first row) everything started with a seed on the ground, and grew into a small plant, finally, blooming into a flower, the 2nd row, shows a lava, growing into 2 butterflies flying in the same direction.... and the 3rd row, shows the transformation from evening to morning!Bravo! team work is amazing, isn't it!From a blank sheet of paper, we created what-seemed-impossible-from-the-start.especially when it involves so many pple's brain, its not easy to co-ordinate and have everyone agreeing on the same concept.Labels: appreciative, challenge, discovery, encouraged, game, quality time

this session arises when we were at mambo the other nite.
i love our group, we said it, we do it. and it will, as it really happens. =)
we said pot luck, so each of us will think wat we wanna do - food, that is.
I made my usual fried udon:
I know i cooked too much of it, but luckily different pple tasted it each time, phew... ...
the only same pple(s), were me and livingstone. haha...
Eddie came with a premium selection again:
like last X'mas, he is making sharksfin for us again.
Peggy made us home-baked pizza:
yummy!! hot hot from the oven!
Adam brought some ready chicken (white and roasted) from bedok hawker centre,
Dennis made us home-made salad, but i forgot to snap.... heh heh
(pls dun penalise me...)
Felin made us yam paste and mini fruit tarts!
the fruit tarts were the dessert for the day! really good!
I will have to try this receipe too!
Now, everybody is doing something,

orh.....he will come to the table when the food is ready,
right now, he has a date with Mr Straits-Times. =)

 after that, it was their session of mahjong, some surfed the net, some watched dvd, a few took a nap.

We are checking out today, our ferry departs at 6.30pm (indonesia time).
went back to the driving range to try and hit some balls....
he knows how to play wan, don play play..... hee hee...
i was trying out the swing again....but looks like i dun really enjoy this sport.... hee....
what is livingstone afraid of???
we left the driving range, wanted to go for banana boat,
but i guess it was too popular in the early afternoon. we couldn't get a slot. damn it.
anyway, we went for an outdoor massage.
this hut faces the sea, at $42 for 45mins, we totally enjoy the session!
the natural wind, the sound of nature .... woa.....song!!
for ladies, if u try this massage, wear a bikini, its easier for the therapist to untie ur bikini as she massage u, it is outdoor, so u dun want to be caught undressing on the spot. =)
we keep seeing this thing.....i dun like.
It's lunchtime!!
this kind of bread always reminds us of germany bread,
they are both hard and tough on the outside, like u can throw it at someone who has just offended you. he will pain lor.
but as u apply ur fav jam, or butter and bite into it, mmmmm.......the sensation......i tell u, its totally different...very good.. u can't associate it with its outer crust. =) try it urself before i die of describing it.
i had their signature dish for lunch, for SGD$11, i had a set lunch which gaves me fish, chicken, beef, vege and prawn.... steady.
parents went for massage after lunch, while we went for a game of pool.

heh heh....it was fun, hiding and shooting behind some1's back, haha.....perspire man!
while waiting for our ferry, doreen introduced the warp s/w on her mobile phone.so cute.....it can turn us into monster.... haha....
 time to leave for the ferry terminal.do u noe there is a factory outlet now?
