My sister must have felt guilty for not being able to meet us this june holiday, due to an increase to ryan boy's tennis lessons.She took a day's leave, so that we can all spend a day together.Thanks Thanks Thanks!!I quickly planned for the day, and since she was the pay master for our high tea, I had to choose Rose Veranda. The place I long wanted to go... heh heh
There is not much to rave about the food to be honest. It was just decent, with salad bar, main courses, dim sum, sashimi+sushi, pastries and desserts. My asian-blooded mum of cos didnt enjoy the spread like we did.After a serving of mee goreng (alike), fish, and dim sum, she headed straight to the kuei line.Even the 102 selections of premium tea, didnt please her.While the rest of us walked to the line several times, eating and sipping the tea, like a tai tai in the making.And I had my long-craved-and-satisfied share of sashimi and dessert! yum!The best thing is, the high tea, unlike other hotels, end at 6pm. So there is no rush here.We took our own sweet time. After the high tea, which ended for us at 4pm (thank god the kids were ok for the long session there!), we drove to Resort World Sentosa. Ha, finally walk the galleria, with hand empty and spending no single cent. haha.But, we rushed to United Square after that, and spent lots of monies. This GSS will be the month my credit card bill will come in pages, im sure.

We were celebrating Peggy's birthday the other nite,
and there was an inspiration to organise an afternoon tea party!
without further delay, we decided to do it on the next holiday ~ Deepavali!
Potluck, yah, u be saying, 'argh, what else???'
however, it has been our group's culture, and we kind of lurve the idea, and so, we are sticking to it, at least for now. =)

although the fruit tarts was not meant for this party, but im glad to include them anyway =)

ah siang contributed the papaya, and also cut it for us himself.The reason why I mentioned that he cut them, was becos, he didn't know how to cut!and all of us were teasing him.... haha...and for the record, he bought papaya that was not riped... =p
peggy came, with flour, sesame and sugar....to bake the sesame cookies...
we had a mini library reading corner in the living. heh heh...
the group sitting together, spending quality time. =)
 What's an afternoon tea, without fresh flowers?I bought gerbera to brighten up the occasion, and then, they decided to use it as props...
having fun!! =)
peggy also brought our childhood game along!

HL even showed us some head stunt while she observed which stix can be picked!
The nite ended at Kembangan, where we went for some mee sua for dinner.It was a long day, but it was a very relaxing gathering we had,not too much food we prepared this time, just nice to fill our stomach(s),and then, we just sat there round the table, to chit chat together. sharing some ideas and philosophy.It was fate, that I got to know this bunch of pple. Most of us shared some 10+ years together...maybe that's why we always have so much to talk about. from common friends to common jobs, to common events, and to uncommon happenings and philosophies....it takes alot of give and take to have us still keeping in contact with each other after so many years, and as our friends found their partners, our group multiplies... =)hmmmm....i love the way we are maintaining this bond.... =)nah, nothing much....just me babbling.... =)oh, did i mention that livingstone and I be flying to bangkok the next day? yeah!!!

i love celebrations!!!
high time he replace his torn wallet.....Since we are on leave, to spend D B'day together, I brought him to Equinox (a surprise for him)for high tea....yah, at the highest place i can find, for high tea, aren't we high? haha....
ok, now the question is, ' the food nice?'IMO, the pastries scores the highest rating, the rest are jus mediocre. Wasn't alot of selection either.$35+++ for each adult. from 3pm to 5pm.enjoy the scenary i would suggest.the food is not fantastic.

i was jus been told, that all churches is a cross when they are view from the top.wow.....amazing. Nice.
heh heh.....do we get a share of their profit???
The cake shop close at 6pm, we rushed there from cityhall, got caught in the usual peak hour jam, and by the time i reach them, the boss is abt to lock the gate!I took the money, jump out of the car, (didn't even bother to close the door!) and ran to the shop "unker!!! wait!!"lucky he not deaf, and lucky he nice guy,he entertain me. he sold me his choccolate fudge cake.seriously, i have been craving for this cake......
the choc smell is so strong.....simply irresistable!
an excuse to order the cake, since it was livingstone's b'day. hee hee....
the cake is incredibily soft. i kept it in the fridge for a nite, but the texture is the same like when i jus bought it. really. pls trust me. i haven't tasted a choc fudge cake as soft as cotton.....(not like i tasted cotton la... heh heh)happy birthday my dearest livingstone. =)Labels: celebration, high tea, Lunch, Memories, Merry, quality time, Surprise
