I have been reading so much abt this stall. And i finally decide to go last nite. I finished my work-out at 9pm, and i tot livingstone wud be on-time to pick me, and therefore, we will have time to travel to Golden Mile Food Centre and reach there before 9.30pm. Plan is not always equal to Actual lo.
Livingstone sms-ed and said he will be delayed.
Initially, i tot, aiya forget it la, we'll do it another day. then, from not sure where, I felt a urge that said, 'NO! we have to have it today! tonite! NOW!' so, i called livingstone, and told him to go to the food centre directly, while i will catch a bus there on my own. steady, never see pple chase food chase until like dat. hee...
So, i took a bus, then embarked on a damn 7mins walk, and reached the stall. unker: "miss ar, left 2, u wan how many?" me, (panting) : "I'll hv'em all!" to the man behind me, unker said, "Sorry Sir, that's all for the day, sold out alrd." Lucky I go there myself lo, if not, u think i will get the last 2? I will be behind the man and unker will tell me, "Sorry Miss, that's all for the day....sold out alrd."Do u know what Im buying?
I jus got to know that they were recently on Sunday Times too. neh, its D-Waffle.i took the chocolate dip, instead of the gelato.hmmm....its quite expensive though, $4.50 for a set like this.I say the waffle itself is nice. gives the buttery smell and taste when i set my tooth in it.On top of it, the stall is quite high-tech in a food centre like dat!the unker gave me a loyalty card. not for chopping like those bubble tea ok,unker use computer to scan barcode wan.and tells me, 'if u register urself online, u will get another 20points.'haha....and this is the receipt.
jin steady.
Adam was there joining us for the waffle too. He stays there, but he wasn't very informed abt the IN thing there i guess....Labels: baking, Dinner, discovery, Food
The Hawkers sure have a way with their marketing strategy for fishball noodles now. I rem seeing abt 3-4 stalls selling fishball/minced meat noodles in Kovan Food Centre. I ordered from this stall this time:
quite mediocre la. nothing to rave abt.but i tot the bowl was attractive to me, hee....since all stalls selling the same thing mah. :)Ever since jean's b'day celebration at East Coast the other day,my hands itch....for a game at the arcade.I rem I last played when i was like, hmm.....sec 4???gosh, how many donkey years ago was tat? a decade? or more!hmm.....there were some games which we always played. that nite, we passed by the arcade, and I asked to go and play, I donch care.
hee, use to be one of my fav game.Livingstone said he 1st time play game in arcade. hahahahaha....trying to act innocent with me.

Everything happens with a purpose.
I woke up on a Monday morning, getting ready for work. While packing for my gym routine that evening, I have a sudden urge to skip the nite. Nevertheless, I packed them all in, just like before.
As i marched to the MRT station, approaching the control station, I rx an sms, " kelvin's father just passed away last nite...." I was stunned. totally. I called her, to send my regards, and to comfort her/them.
Later, i rx an sms from callie, "did i tell u im on leave today, would not be going to the gym tonite." Oh man, everything happens with a purpose. sometimes things just falls nicely in place.... I am definately skipping gym to attend the wake.
All good things must come to an end. Im glad to see Kelvin n fishball quen looking good that evening. they are so brave. :) My heart goes all out to you both..... :'(

it was quite a mad rush time-table. we went to the sale (ubi) at 10am, need to get back to coris to meet bin at 11am for breakfast, before going together to skcc at 12noon for our badminton session. hee.... we were late for breakfast la, but the game was made up with us playing for an extra 30mins on top of what bin had booked. haha.....nobody come and claim the court wat. haha.....
we also welcomed Sky and wife to our place for home-cooked-dinner that evening.hmmm....amazing how our time is stretched for the entire day.to add, we ended the night with mahjong session at my in-law's place :p....meeting different pple in a single day, doing different activites. pleasing ourselves and others.

it's getting very challenging. its not abt how spectacular the celebration is gonna be, it is more to attack the person when she is most unaware. hur hur hur.....
a surprise is a surprise. hiak hiak hiak.....
And so, the group of us decided to meet for dinner at East Coast Waraku. Beng's task was to bring jean to the venue, without her suspecting. :)
To cut the long story short, some of us who are not driving, met up at cityhall, to get the cake. and kenny will be the kind person to meet and ferry us to east coast from cityhall.
i didnt have the time to make a card. so, it was an ad-hoc making rite at waraku!
no tools, how to do? no paper, worse.so, i suddenly popped out 'Namecards!', and then we had everybody searching for their own namecards. haha....many heads make great ideas.after we gather the materials, felin carried on to create the 'TV card'.and it so happens that peggy's old card created some color effect.i must say the end product is a very nicely done card. we used some handyplasts (courtesy from adam) to secure the cards!and we had them coming 45mins later.jean didnt noe we were inside waiting, she thought to q-up for a seat, when beng cuts through the crowd and came in, she asked, 'no need to q meh?', beng said 'no need, we go in and find our own seat...' *faints* its hilarious how 1 person can talk rubbish suddenly. haha.... Jean got a shock when she see the whole group of us seated there, exclaiming 'happy birthday!'haha.... girls-out-loud.
the noisy group.
i chose her this bag, i hope she likes it.
i dunno what happen across the table. but who cares..... :)
and see the teamwork, all the same expression. farnie. haha...
finally, a group foto in the restaurant.
We settled for bowling after dinner. It was fun! As usual, we had inter-group match.the last competition, we had eddie brought a curse to the group, which is, whichever team he is in, the group will lost lo. This time, he broke the curse! haha....he winner lo.
and some became the loser for the nite. haha....
supper was at simpang bedok. sinful prata and roti john, with thick thick milo dinosaur.nvm, for the next morning im waking up early for badminton at 12pm.but the nite only ends at 3.30am. im on my way to getting botox i guess......Labels: Birthday, celebration, Dinner, Food, Memories, Merry, party, quality time, Surprise

Been planning for this surprise since Cameron Trip. heh heh.... If it wasn't for ALL's effort and co-operation, ProjectK (K for Kenny) will not succeed. We first got ourselves ambushed at the hawker centre near Kenny's hse, with his wife in our hands.... wahahahahha.... Peggy told him that she has to stay back and work late, thus got kenny to go home on his own first. When we confirm that he has reached home, we marched towards his flat.(We actually had Ah-dee to call Kenny's hse to dbl confirm, 'hello, ah huat woo dee boh?' hahaha)
While we were going up, the pizza i ordered came! Fortunately, I told the pizza man to call me before he knocks the door, and I explained to them that this is a surprise party, so dun spoil my projectK pls!!!very cooperative, the pizza man gave me a ring when he reached the block, JUST IN TIME!we hijacked the pizza and its on our way up via the lift to 1 flr above Kenny's hse. hiak hiak hiak... that's wea we stopped breathing, to reduce noise....light the candles on the cake...(and i purposely took alot of candles, haha) the card.... the cake.....
and its on our way to ATTACK! SURPRISE!!! We sang the birthday song aloud right at his corridor! hahaha.....
the birthday boy. the present we got him. and its pizzatime!! so hungry.....
n of cos the surprise comes packaged with some saboh.
what does it taste like combining:banana milk, kopi, ginger beer, coke with lemon, lemon tea, miranda and tonic water?
down it! Steady! All of us sipped abit la, before he down the whole cup.haha.... morale of the story, dun buy such big cup for ur hse in future.... hur hur hur.....
the nite was entertained with some dice game that works like 'Bluff'.....
then peggy took out her new toy, and we found SHREK in the hse!! haha....
the green green shrek, and princess fiona!!the birthday boy decided to be as happy as the girl on his tee..... haha
the couple, sealed with a kiss....
the WOMeN in the hse...
with the birthday boy.
and finale,
wow, kenny, when did u move a green statue back home? Was projectK successful? - U bet! Kenny was very surprise. He didnt expect us to attack him on his birthday eve anyway, haha....so we caught him unaware. :) "the early lovely surprise you have given me, make a wonderful start to my birthday. A memorable day, thanks to you! Happy Birthday to me! Share my joy!" ~ Kenny. Labels: Birthday, celebration, Dinner, Food, Merry, quality time, Shopping, Surprise
